Merry Monday Challenge Week #104

Hello & Happy Monday!

Hope everyone had a great weekend!
We got the fence put up this weekend for Gigi & Bailee so now they can run in the backyard. You should have seen their faces when I opened the kitchen door on Saturday evening and left them go out without being on the leash. Both girls sat there and looked at us until we encouraged them to go. Oh they loved running around and playing together! They finally got their Christmas gift....a fenced in yard!

So, today since it's Monday that means it's time for another challenge from over at Merry Monday!
Let's get to it!

This week our hostess is the talented Karen Davis and she gave us a color challenge.
I rather loved these colors and was so pleased that my card turned out exactly the way I envisioned.

Hope you can drop by the Merry Monday blog to see what the other ladies have created this week. So many awesome idea's!

Easter 2014

Hello & Happy Thursday!

Hope everyone is doing well.
I took a few days off from posting to do some cleaning out of my stamp room and also work on some upcoming projects. Somewhere along the lines I lost some of my mojo and maybe that is from the nice, sunshiney weather we are having. Life will be a bit busy this upcoming week with putting a fence up for the doggies and also Easter coming so quickly! I am hosting Easter dinner here for the family since I have the room for it but my Mom is doing the cooking. She insisted! Kirsten is in charge of the veggies and I am in charge of the desserts! Haha!
Anyways, with that being said my posts might be a bit sporadic the next week or so but I promise once Easter is over i'll be back on a more normal schedule. :)
So, today I wanted to share a few Easter things that I made.
Let's get started!

These were all fun to make! I made up about 40 milk cartons for the ladies at Kirsten's work in different designs. The cards I made for family & friends. I sat down one day and just started to play with the Easter images. For once I did not use a challenge to make a card. I like to do the challenges for they give me a place to start at making a card and they also make you think outside of the box and sometimes I really need that direction to help me create.
I'm pleased with all of it and of course I will share more pictures of the Easter goodies in the coming week.

That's all for today!
If you need to know something about what I used for these projects please shoot me an email. It's just way to much to list.
Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!

Easter Socks 2014

Hello & Happy Saturday!

Hope everyone is having a super weekend so far!

It's a bright & sunny day but the wind is a bit crazy today. Hope it is short lived so tomorrow we can go out and spruce up our yard some and also get some measurements for a fence for the dogs! Those girls will enjoy that alot!

Before I get onto the topic of my project, I wanted to share a bit of good news!
Our friends, Amy & Edgar had their baby yesterday afternoon! Vienna Marie weighed 4lbs 6 oz! I haven't asked yet on how her health is because i'm sure things are a bit crazy now with the new one being here. From what we heard though she is in the NICU but feeding & breathing on her own. Sounds very positive for being 6 weeks early! Amy is doing well too!

This morning we had to run out to our local Comcast Cable office to once again replace our cable modem! Seems we just did this about 4-5 months ago! Hubby got it all hooked up & and the internet is working like a charm! So while he was doing that, I sat at my stamp table and bagged some adorable little Easter socks that I picked up at AC Moore a few weeks ago! As i've said before, my 2 daughters love their holiday socks! Here is what I threw together!

I used a Medium SU Cello bag and placed the socks & a Ghiradelli Chocolate in each bag. I made a topper to put on them. The purple bunny is from the Ears to You single stamp from last year. I used a new DRS Easter stamp for the sentiment. The Easter Egg paper is from Hobby Lobby. They were scraps leftover from other projects. I stapled my topper on the the cello bag and added a pink rhinestone and a Pool Party bow. I'm sure the girls will love these!

Easter Socks 2014:

Stamps: Ears to You (single stamp 2013), Sentiment from DRS Designs
Ink: Melon Mambo, Lovely Lilac
Cardstock: Melon Mambo, Lovely Lilac, DSP from Hobby Lobby
Accessories: Circle Punches, Pink Rhinestones, Pool Party Ribbon, Dimensional, 2 Sided Tape

Well, that's all for me today!
I think a nap is in order to help with my sinus headache I had since I crawled out of bed this morning!
Sweet dreams y'all and have a great day!

Dynamic Duo's Challenge #96

Hello & Happy Thursday!

Hope your all having a great day!

We went to visit a very good friend of ours last night who has been in the hospital since last Wednesday. She is 7 months pregnant and her water broke. Today is the day they are inducing her labor and as of right now....nothing! The baby will be born at 34 weeks and they have been giving Amy meds to help build up little Vienna's lungs. I'm so excited for her! Her mom is up from Delaware keeping little Dominic while this is all happening. I offered to keep him today if she wanted to be with her daughter for the birth so I wanted to hurry and get my card made ASAP before the call comes.

Anyways, i'm down to the wire on getting my card made for this week's Dynamic Duo's card so here we go!

The color I chose to go with my Gumball Green is Cherry Cobbler! :)
When I think of Gumball Green I think of Christmas so that's the direction I went. I found in my "Image Box" this adorable image already stamped in the colors I needed . The images are from the Joyous Celebration set from the Holiday Mini 2012. I never purchased the set but borrowed it from my friend & stamping buddy, Deb. Thanks Deb! In my stash I found a piece of Gumball Green already embossed with the SU Snow Burst EF and then I embossed a piece of Cherry Cobbler with the Designer Frames EF's. Added a piece of Stitched White Grosgrain and completed my inside. Threw on a few white pearls and called it done. Another card ready for Christmas! Hope you like!

Stamps: Joyous Celebration, Christmas Messages & More Merry Messages (inside)
Ink: Gumball Green, Cherry Cobbler

Merry Monday Challenge Week #102

Hello & Happy Monday!

Hope everyone had a great weekend!
We had quite the wash out! Constant rain from Friday night until I went to bed around 11 pm last night. Actually it ended as snow, sleet & freezing rain, an inch or 2 but we probably had about 2 inches of rain if not more. My yard looked like a lake! Today is to be sunny with temps jumping into the 50's so I hope it will melt all that yucky snow outside and let the green grass come thru. We want SPRING!

So, today we have another challenge from over at Merry Monday! Hop on over to the blog and check it out! The other Merry Maker's have created some awesome inspiration this week! Grab some supplies and play along!

For this challenge I decided to make a pocket card. I usually make a few of these type of cards every year and then I can add a gift card to these when Christmas rolls around. Pocket cards are so fun!

Hello & Happy Thursday!

Today i'm sharing my card for this week's Dynamic Duo's Challenge.
They have some very pretty colors this week so let's get to it!

Once again put my Six Sided Sampler set to to work! It's becoming one of my favorite stamp sets!
I seen this idea out in stamp land to line up the hexagons like this and then I added a Rich Razzleberry Button to the center. I thought it would look great in these colors! Underneath I embossed that panel with the Honeycomb EF and added some Soft Sky Grosgrain with a bow. My sentiment is from the Perfectly Penned stamp set which is stamped in Rich Razzleberry. Love the finished product!

Sketch Challenge 481

Hello & Happy Wednesday!

Today is Sketch Challenge day over at SCS and I had to play along!

Here's the sketch & my card....

Working hard on getting some Easter cards made this year! I pulled out this bunny image that was in my image box. I think it's from Whipper Snapper but I could be wrong. Colored her with my Copic Markers and pulled out some springy retired paper from the Tea Party pack. My sentiment went on a bit crooked even with the Stamp A Ma Jig but oh well. Added a Pretty in Pink bow and 4 small pearls and called it done. Hope ya like!

Stamps: Bunny from Whipper Snapper, Sentiment from Great Impressions
Ink: Memento Black, Copic Markers

Color Challenge 471

Hello & Happy Tuesday!

Unfortunately, it's a snowy day here in PA. It's been coming down since about 9am but thankfully it's not laying. It's crazy that all my spring flowers are ready to bloom and we have snow coming down. I think I can speak for everyone by saying we hope this is our onion snow! Calling for nicer, warmer temps this weekend so I cannot wait to get out and do some yard clean up! It has taken quite a beating this winter. Anyways, I got all my chores done and headed down to my stamp table. I checked out the Color Challenge over at SCS and played along....

This week we were given a 6 colors but did not have to use all of them.
The dessert option was to use ribbon.

Basic Black, Pistachio Pudding, Crisp Cantalope, Pool Party, Sahara Sand & Summer Starfruit

I used all the colors plus added ribbon to make a pretty Mother's Day card.
My designer paper had all the colors in which made this very easy!

I will give this to my Mom this year along with a neat surprise which I will share closer to that time. I just love the soft pastel colors in this paper!

Color Challenge 471 Card:

Stamps: Teeny Tiny Wishes, Make an Impression (inside)
Ink: Memento Black
Cardstock: Neenah White, Crisp Cantalope, Pistachio Pudding, Pool Party

Hello & Happy Monday!

It's time for another terrific challenge this week from over at Merry Monday! Hope you can stop by the blog & check it out!

Here we go!

I probably should have just stamped my star in Smokey Slate but I decided to emboss it with Silver Embossing Powder, add my sentiment, a few red rhinestones and called it done. Very quick & easy card but i'm glad I was finally able to use this pretty star! I love it!

Merry Monday Week #101 Card:

Stamps: Christmas Star, Greetings of the Season
Ink: Real Red, Versamark
Cardstock: Neenah White, Real Red
Accessories: Silver Embossing Powder, Red Rhinestones, Heat Gun, 2 Sided Tape

Hope you can play along with us this week!

Sketch Challenge 480

Hello again!

Had a few minutes to sit and craft a bit this afternoon and decided to play along with yesterday's Sketch Challenge from over at SCS. Still trying to build up my stash of cards on the card rack so I made another Sympathy card.

Here's the sketch and my card....

I don't know why I struggled with this sketch but I did. I found in my stash an embossed piece of Summer Starfruit cardstock that fit the bill for a long rectangle that I needed for this sketch. I scrambled thru tons of DSP looking for something with Summer Starfruit in it so I could use this embossed piece. I think the DSP is a bit overwhelming but I like the outcome.

Sketch Challenge 480 Card:

Stamps: Teeny Tiny Wishes, inside sentiment unknown
Ink: Memento Black
Cardstock: Neenah White, Summer Starfruit, Sycamore Street DSP
Accessories: Flower Garden EF, Summer Starfruit Ribbon, White Pearls, Glue Dots, Liquid Mono Adhesive

That's all for me today!
Thanks so much for stopping by & have a great day!

Dynamic Duo's Challenge #94

Hello & Happy Thursday!

It is also the first day of Spring!! WooHoo! I am smiling from ear to ear about that!

Anyways, I am sharing my card made for this week's Dynamic Duo's Challenge.
Here are the colors & my card....

Once again I used my Six Sided Sampler stamp set because I just love the look of this! I used my Honeycomb EF since the dessert option was to use dry embossing. I used a sentiment from the set that I hand cut. I really love the pop of black with the taffeta ribbon & bow! Hope you like my card! I'm pleased with the outcome!

Dynamic Duo's Challenge #94 Card:

Stamps: Six Sided Sampler
Ink: More Mustard, Memento Black
Cardstock: Neenah White, Whisper White, More Mustard
Accessories: Honeycomb EF, Hexagon Punch, 1/8 Black Taffeta, Dot Dots, Liquid Mono Adhesive

Well, that's all for me today!
Time to get out and enjoy the first day of spring with a nice walk with the pups!

A Special Birthday

Hello & Happy Wednesday!

Had a call this morning from my Mom asking if I could make a quick little candy treat for a man that is turning 80 years old next week. Why sure! So, I made my way downstairs and grabbed my pack of Birthday Basics DSP and Cycle Celebration stamp set. I grabbed a bag of Hershey's Nuggets that I keep on hand and got to work! I wrapped 6 nuggets with the DSP and added a topper on a small cello bag. I tried making a nugget box but it was a tad too narrow to fit my nuggets in so I passed on that! Here is the outcome of the Birthday Treat.....

Took me a total of 20 minutes to make this and I really like the colors!

Birthday Treat Bag:

Stamps: Cycle Celebration
Ink: Bermuda Bay, Raspberry Ripple
Cardstock: Bermuda Bay, Raspberry Ripple, Whisper White
Accessories: Decorative Label Punch, Summer Starfruit Ribbon, Dimensionals, Liquid Mono Adhesive

Well, that all for me today!
Taking it easy since some of my back pain has come back. Not happy about that after a few days of being pain free but my brother did tell me not to get discouraged if the first injection doesn't work. Oh well...

Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!
