Frames & Flowers Specialty Paper

Good Morning & Happy Thursday, Friends!

I've been awake since before 3am this morning as we had a strong line of thunderstorms come thru. It was storming when I went to bed at 9pm and then again at 3am. Our weather sure has been active with heavy rains, lots of alerts and very hot & humid air sitting over us. I'm sure at this point I am going to need a nap later today!

This last week & a half has been a stressful one. It started out with Mr. Shady not well. We thought maybe he had a leg injury as he was not walking for days. Kelsey called her Vet and was unsuccessful in getting him seen ASAP. They were completely booked and the soonest they could see him was Monday 7-14-25. They suggested she call other vets in the area or get him to an animal emergency place. The local animal emergency place was already on a long wait time and before the end of that day it turned into a 12-15 hour wait time. She was so frustrated, as I was too because no one wants to see their pet hurting. So, she kept him comfortable and carried him outside to go potty. Thru all this he was still eating, drinking & doing his outside business but was constantly shaking like a leaf and would not walk. Finally, Monday he was seen by his normal Vet and was diagnosed with a neck injury! I can only imagine how Kelsey felt as I was worried sick about him for days, too. I was mentally exhausted as to thinking what was wrong with him. After xrays summed up the Vet's diagnosis, Shady was put on some heavy duty pain meds, an anti inflammatory and muscle relaxers. By the end of the first day on these meds he was showing signs of improvement. He was walking and playing with his food & toys! It's now been 3 days on the meds and he is healing nicely even back to his usual sniffing every blade of grass. He has not jumped up on anything yet and that may take awhile for the injury to completely heal but the Vet said he will get back to his normal self. It's one of those kind of injuries that they see quite often. He is no longer allowed to wear his normal neck collar attached to the leash. From now on she was advised to get him a harness to take the pressure off his neck. So, he's not out of the woods yet but showing signs of improvement each & every day! I am so thankful for that! She does call every morning to give me updates on him and it's sounding positive!

Today I have a set of cards to share that I made for a Thank You gift. There are 5 cards and each one is different. I used the Frames & Flowers Specialty DSP from the 2024-2025 Stampin Up! catalog. I think it may be on the Last Chance Sale list still but not 100% sure on that. I still have a small bit of this paper left and I may make another pack for myself...

Card Details:

Stamps: Everyday Greetings & Greetings of the Season (retired Online Exclusives)
