Free 4 All Challenge 78

Hello & Happy TGIF!!!

Today's Free 4 All Challenge #78 was themed Embossing Central in which we were to use an embossing folder. Yesterday I was working on Holiday Thank You cards so I just kept with that theme and used SU's Petals A Plenty embossing folder and a cute little sentiment! It went together very quickly!! :)

Free 4 All #78 Card:

Stamps: Sentiment from Stampendous
Ink: Memento Black, Copic Markers
Cardstock: Cherry Cobbler, Kraft/Crumb Cake, Neenah White
Accessories: SU Petals A Plenty Embossing Folder, MS Tags, Cherry Cobbler Quilted Ribbon, Circle Nestibilities, Dimensionals, Scor Tape

This was a quick & easy card to make and the embossing folder packs such a punch!
Hope you like!

Well, that's all for me for today!
Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!

Ways To Use It Challenge 336

Hello & Happy Thursday, friends!

Up and at it bright & early again! No thanks though to the weather radio for going off at 4:30am for Severe Thunderstorms that were moving thru the area. I know I complain about that BUT thank God for weather radio's to notify you in a weather emergency! Living in PA this was never a huge deal but having moved here to the midwest....it's a whole new ballgame for us "east coasters"!

Anyways, I checked out the Ways To Use It Challenge and got right to work on it after Shawn left for work this morning. It took me 45 mins to make & upload my pictures and that's a huge deal for me! LOL Today's challenge was to use VersaMark on our cards/projects. My mind went right to this new SU background stamp called Hello, Doily! I have been wanting to use it and today's challenge gave me to kick start to do so!
I used the VersMark on my Tempt. Turq. and then heat embossed it with SU White Embossing Powder and as it was melting on the cardstock from the heat gun I was just amazed at how clear this stamp embosses! It's beautiful!! :)

Ways To Use It Challenge 336 Card:

Stamps: Hello, Doily (set #103), Sentiment from SU
Ink: Memento Black, VersaMark
Cardstock: Tempting Turq., PTI White
Accessories: Circle & Circle Scallop Nestibilties, White Grosgrain, SU Basic Pearls, SU White Embossing Powder, Heat Gun, Scor Tape

I soooooooooo LOVE the turnout of this! Makes me happy I purchased this beautiful stamp because I can see a bunch more cards coming with this stamp! WooHoo!

Well, that's all from me today, friends!
Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!

Holiday Woodcuts Gift Card

Hello & Happy Monday!

Hope you all had a great day!
I was in my stamp room most of day getting stuff wrapped up for the craft show. The craft show isn't until November but i'm taking the majority of the stuff back home when we go for vacation and dropping it off at the farm and then come November I will ship off my last package of goodies in time for the show. I normally work on Christmas all year round just to prepare for this. Today I made a gift card holder with an image I found in my box. I'm really trying to use up those images but I bet it'll take me 10 more years to do so! LOL The image on my card comes from an older set that I do not have called Holiday Woodcuts. I'm pretty sure I stamped this off years ago from Deb. :)

Gift cards are a big thing at the show and I also like to keep a bunch on hand for myself! Since all my kids are now grown they'd much rather have gift cards or money for Christmas and truthfully that makes it much easier for me!!!

Holiday Woodcuts Gift Card Holder:

Stamps: Holiday Woodcuts, Hero Arts, Amuse
Ink: Night of Navy
Cardstock: Night of Navy, Bashful Blue, GP White, Four Seasons DSP
Accessories: MS Loopy Border Punch, Word Window & Modern Label, Circle & Scallop Circle Punches, Kaiser Blue Rhinestones, Jolee's Snowflakes w/Rhinestones, Blue Twill, Hot Glue, Dimensionals, Scor Tape

Well, that's all for me today!
Off for a good night's sleep then more fun tomorrow!
Thanks for stopping by & have a good evening!

I pulled out another old set from SU called Sweet Treats that I just can't seem to part with! Of course I pulled out the sundae stamp because of the scrumptious cherry that is on top! This is also my 100th set used in my quest to see that all my stamps see ink in 2011!! WooHoo!!
I probably have 100 more to go! LOL

Free 4 All Challenge #77

Hello & Happy Friday!

Busy day here at the Aungst residence!

I had this idea in my mind all day for this card for today's Free 4 All Challenge 77 and once I was able to get to my stamp table I could not get it to go the way I had pictured it! Dawn was our hostess for today's challenge and she themed it "Frame It Up". Well, I wanted to frame up my image from this adorable Christmas set but I just could not get it to look right so I just mounted my Oval & Oval Scallop as you normally would and I popped it up on dimensionals.
Take a look...

My card was inspired by a friend of mine from back in good ole PA, LeAnne Pugliese. She had made a card with this same set & papers a few months back and I just fell in love with it! LeAnne's card can be seen here .

Free 4 All Challenge 77 Card:

Stamps: Welcome Christmas (set #99)
Ink: Elegant Eggplant
Cardstock: Elegant Eggplant, Neenah White, Elegant Eggplant DSP
Accessories: Oval & Scallop Oval Nestibilties, White sheer Ribbon from Hobby Lobby, Eggplant Grosgrain, SU Basic Pearls, Dimensionals, Scor Tape

Well, that is all for me tonight!

Christmas Stocking Gift Card Holder

Hello again!

Yesterday, Vicki and I received our Stampin Up order! WooHoo!!
The new goodies in the Holiday Mini are awesome!
I had a chance to play with some of the new stuff!
The Stocking Die and the Frostwood Lodge DSP are fabulous!
This is what I made....

I really like this and plan to make more! You could really do many things with these like add some candy canes, gift cards, and of course money!
I added a Micheal's gift card that was a gift from last Christmas just for show. Even if your have a sewing machine you could make these stockings with material but I do not have one nor do I care to have one. Paper is my craft of choice! :)

Stamps: Hero Arts Sentiment
Ink: Cherry Cobbler
Cardstock: Cherry Cobbler, Garden Green, Neenah White, Frostwood Lodge DSP
Accessories: SU Stocking Die, Circle & Lacey Circle Nestibilities, Eyelet, Silver Beads & Cord, Cherry Cobbler Polka Dot Scallop Grosgrain, Dimensionals, Scor Tape

Ways To Use It Challenge 335

Hello & Happy Thursday!

Today is the Ways To Use It Challenge 335. Our hostess, Toni, challenged us to use an image that generated heat or a technique that used heat. Suddenly, it came to mind this awesome card that my friend back in PA had us make at our last stamp girls get together. I had to go get it and add a few things to it to make it work for today's challenge!
Since moving to Joplin within the last year I have noticed the sunsets are some of the prettiest i've ever seen and this card reflects that!

Everything was Deb's design and all I added was the gold dragonfly brad and the ribbon. I then added a sentiment to the inside and called it finished!

Such a pretty card but I don't think the picture is all that great! Kelsey has been using my camera and I think she has changed my settings! Kids!

Ways To Use It Challenge 335 Card:

Stamps: Great Impressions
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Pumpkin Pie
Cardstock: So Saffron, Textured Pumpkin Pie, Chocolate Chip
Accessories: Circle Punch, Sponges, Gold Dragonfly Brad, Grosgrain Ribbon from stash, Scor Tape

Well, that is all from me for today!
Thanks for stopping by & have a really great day!

Gone Fishin....

Hello & Happy Monday!

Today I worked on a project that has been bouncing in my mind for months! I was gonna start it yesterday but then we took Fluffy out for a ride to get her out of the house. She has been cooped up inside since we have come back from vacation because it been so ungodly hot. So, this afternoon I started this tissue box for Shawn. It's been one of those days between making homemade veggie soup for supper and the weather radio going off every 10 mins for thunderstorms....i'm finally getting it finished and uploaded!

I made one a few months ago for Kelsey and thought I would make one for Shawn for in his office at work. He really liked it, too! :)

Our Creative Corner Challenge

Hello & Happy Saturday/Sunday!
Here it is still Saturday nite but on the east coast it's Sunday!

I've been working on this challenge all evening and i'm just now getting my card uploaded. I made this baby card for today's Our Creative Corner Challenge. Kristin is the hostess this week and it was an inspiration challenge. Below is the picture that she gave us to give for inspiration.

We did have one rule....we were not allowed to use flowers! So I went with the pinks & yellows in the pictures!
I also made this card for a friend of my daughters back in PA who asked me if i'd make her a baby card for a friend who is expecting. How could I refuse!

Our Creative Corner Challenge Card:

Stamps: Baby Bundle, Sentiment from Verve
Ink: Memento Black, Copic Markers
Cardstock: Pretty in Pink, Pink Pirouette, Barely Banana, Neenah White
Accessories: Just My Type (buttons) Embossing Folder, Banana Brads, MS Doily Punch, Banana Grosgrain Ribbon, Scor Tape

I tried to keep this as flat as I could since she will be mailing this over seas.
Hope she likes!

Well, that is all for me today!
I may be back on Sunday with something if the gang doesn't have something else they wanna do. I would like to get Fluffy out of the house. She's been cooped up for weeks now since we have had this major heatwave here. Might just have to take her out for a ride since it's too stinkin hot to walk her.

Thanks for stopping by & enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Free 4 All Challenge 76

Hello & Happy TGIF!!!

Finally, the weekend is here!
No special plans here but I know each week that passes we get one week closer to our vacation back home! :) Do you have any special or fun plans this weekend?

Well, today is the Free 4 All Challenge over at SCS and our hostess Jeanne themed it "Itty Bitty Flowers". Again, my mind went wandering off to Christmas!! LOL
I grabbed an old punch from my drawer called Spring Flowers Bouquet and punched 2 of them in Cherry Cobbler cardstock to make 1 poinsettia flower. I thought this process would be a quick & easy card but low and behold.....it took me almost 2 hours to get this all worked out! LOL Then I punched out the leaves with my Fern punch from Martha Stewart and it decides to break on me and my glue gun just did not wanna heat up. I hope the rest of my day doesn't go quite like that!

Free 4 All Challenge 76 Card:

Stamps: PSX Sentiment
Ink: Cherry Cobbler
Cardstock: Kraft/Crumb Cake, Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive, Neenah White
Accessories: MS Loopy Border Punch, MS Fern Punch, Spring Flower Bouquet Punch, Oueen & Co. Gold Beads, Glue Dots, Glue Gun, Gold Cord, Scor Tape

So, after 2 hours of making this card, i'm very happy with it! I'm really hooked on the Kraft/Crumb Cake cards this year! I know you'll be seeing more in the coming months! :)

Well, that's all I have for now!
Thanks for stopping by & have a great day, friends!

Ways To Use It Challenge 334

Hello & Happy Thursday!

The Ways to Use It Challenge today is to Love Your Kraft! Kraft or Crumb Cake that is!
I have found myself using Kraft/Crumb Cake more this past year than ever before! I do believe it has grown on me! LOL
So, today I used it for another Christmas card. Surprising, huh? lol

Ways to Use It Challenge 334 Card:

Stamps: Jolly St. Nick (set #96)
Ink: Memento Black, Copic Markers
Cardstock: Kraft/Crumb Cake, Night of Navy, PTI White
Accessories: Square & Lacey Square Nestibilities, Oval & Oval Scallop Nestibilities, Swiss Dots Embossing Folder, Felt Snowflake, Silver Beads, Scor Tape

I love the Kraft/Crumb Cake & Night of Navy together! It's a pretty color combo!

Well, that's all for me for now!
Again, i'm very tired today. Our weather radio went off about 3:30 this morning for Severe Thunderstorms and all we got was more thunder & lightening....NO rain! I really do believe that we have this big bubble over us that is the no rain zone. Every chance we get for rain it either goes north, south or east of us.....skips right over Joplin and we so badly need it!

Ok, i'm done venting and think maybe I should go back to bed. Maybe i'm just a tad grouchy today! LOL
Thanks for stopping by & have a great day, friends!
