Fall Cards

 Hello & Happy Monday!

Hope you had a nice weekend!
I spent most of yesterday at my stamp table working on Audrey's cards.
The card I am sharing today is a set that she requested for October birthdays so I pulled out some Ringed With Love DSP which is long retired but I have quite a bit of it left so I decided to use it for this set.

Card Details:

Stamps: Unbounded Love
Ink: Pretty Peacock
Cardstock: So Saffron, Basic White, Ringed With Love DSP (retired SAB)
Accessories: Unbounded Love Dies, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I kept these simple because that is the way she likes them.
 No ribbon or embellishments.
I have one more pack to work on for her today then I am moving on to some Halloween projects. I picked up some Halloween Oreo's at Target the other day that I want to make something with. Audrey loves the Halloween Oreo's for the little kiddo's that she knows. And they make a great treat, too!

Northern Hearts Celebrate the Season

Good Morning & Happy Sunday!

It's a beautiful morning here in south central Pennsylvania!
The squirrels are out in full force today in both my front & back yards looking for the acorns and Miss Bailee is having a field day just watching them from the front door. Can you believe we are halfway thru September already? Time really does fly so much faster as we get older.

It's football Sunday here and i'm anxious to watch our 2nd game of the season this afternoon. We usually watch downstairs in the family room but we are in the process of getting new living room furniture and when the new stuff arrives we will take the current couch & chairs downstairs. Right now the family room has nothing in it as we got rid of that stuff at the landfill 2 weeks ago. We had to special order it because we wanted a different material/color and that takes about 10-12 weeks. I'm hoping about another month or so and it will arrive.

Today I have a set of Christmas cards to share with you.
Everything on this set is retired...

Card Details:

Stamps: Northern Hearts (retired), Itty Bitty Christmas (retired)
Ink: Real Red, Soft Suede (retired)
Cardstock: Real Red, Soft Suede (retired), Christmas Cocoa Specialty Paper (retired 2010)
Accessories: Circle Layering Framelits, White Glittered Ribbon, Rhinestones, Glue Dots, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I really did not have to do much work on these as the bows were already tied in my ribbon basket and the rhinestones were leftover from a very old Paper Pumpkin project.

NEW-Regal Flora

 Hello & Happy Fri-YAY!!

Today I am planning on getting to my stamp table to play a bit. Last evening we went to Target and I was able to find some Halloween candy that I would like to use for a few treats. I am not going all out this year but I will have some on hand to sell if any of my girls are interested.

Yesterday I did get a chance to make a card for Audrey!
I feel so bad for what she is going thru (shingles) so I wanted to make a card to let her know we are thinking of her. I got a new bundle from the 2024 Holiday Mini Catalog called Regal Flora. At first it did not appeal to me. I seen a few fellow demo's using it and saying not to sleep on this set because it is so pretty. After that I was sold on it! Hate how that happens but it does! This is going out in the mail to her today and I sure hope it lifts her spirits.

Card Details:

Stamps: Regal Flora
Ink: Pretty Peacock, Real Red
Cardstock: Pretty Peacock, Basic White, Regal Winter DSP
Accessories: Regal Flora Dies, Rhinestones, Dimensionals, Stampin Seal

This came together so nicely and I cannot wait to play more with it!
I love the rich, beautiful colors in the prints of the DSP which I think are perfect for the winter months. This was a whole suite of products most of which I did not use here but I promise I will soon! This really is not a sleeper suite and I'm glad I got it!

That is all for me today!

Choose Happy= Halloween Treats

 Good Morning & Happy Thursday!

I hope your day is off to a great start!
My plan is the same as yesterday....gonna get inky!

I did get to my stamp table and had the best time putting together my 2024 Halloween Sticks that I make every year! But before I get to that I wanted to give an update on Audrey. She is my card lady and has been ordering cards & treats from me since 2012. Yesterday she called me and gave me a small order and we chatted about 20 minutes. Today is her 94th birthday! And on top of that she has shingles! My heart sank when she described the pain she was dealing with. She has it under her skin on her scalp which is an odd place for it but it does happen. Her doctor gave her yet another pill to help which in turn makes her nauseous. I recommended some Ginger Chews since I use them with being on Mounjaro. She has been thru so much in the last few years and she keeps on chugging along. My plan today is to make a card to send her. If your the praying type please say a little prayer for her. I know she would appreciate that.

Here are the Halloween M&M Sticks I made.
I used the Choose Happy stamp set from the 2024-2025 Annual Catalog. It's the cutest and definitely covers many occasions!

Project Details:

Stamps: Choose Happy
Ink: Memento Black, Pumpkin Pie, Gorgeous Grape, Granny Apple Green, Basic Black Archival (retired), Stampin Blends-Pumpkin Pie & Granny Apple Green
Cardstock: Basic White, Granny Apple Green
Accessories: Circle Layering Framelits (retired), Handheld Hole Punch (retired), Halloween Night Twine (retired), Iridescent Black Pearls (retired), Dimensionals

I bought 2 bags of the Halloween Ghoul's Mix M&M's and got 20 sticks made.
These were so much fun to make and it just made my day happier!

Happy Anniversary

 Hello & Happy Wednesday!!

I hope your all doing well!

I took a bit of a break the last several days. Not one I planned for but because it's been crazy busy and I have not had any card orders to share. I took my first dose of my new medicine last Friday night and it has been kicking my butt. Miss Bailee had grooming first thing Saturday morning and once we dropped her off I went home and made us a good breakfast, only thing was I couldn't even eat half of it. It was good but I got full after about 5 bites. I also noticed how fatigued I was and had no energy to do much. Sunday, I got up and still felt the same way but if you remembered Shawn had booked a Rail Trail Bike adventure that morning. I ate just a handful of crackers that morning because that was all I could get in. The smell of food was already starting to turn my stomach. We went and did the rail bike ride with his boss & wife. It was so much fun!! Afterwards though, I was totally zonked. I came home and slept the rest of the day. Starting a new dose of meds was no joke. Thankfully, I did not get sick but it did knock me back a peg. They say that this happens but in time your body will adjust to it. Monday, I felt like an 18 wheeler ran me over so I decided I was not going to do my normal house cleaning. Instead I decorated for Halloween since it's not that strenuous. I felt better as the day when on although I still was not eating much. Shawn grabbed a small pizza on his way home from work since I did not make any supper. One piece of pizza was all I could eat and let me say that that one slice of pizza spiked my blood sugar higher then I have ever seen it! Guess no more pizza for me. Then yesterday I did get my normal house cleaning done and I was starting to eat more than I had the last several days which was a good thing. Today is 5 days since my injection and I am just a bit tired but feeling so much better. I'm planning on hitting my stamp table to work on filling up my card rack. I have sold so many cards off my card rack in the last several weeks that some of the pockets are empty! So, today we are starting off with a pretty Anniversary card that will be headed to the card rack!

Card Details:

Stamps: Northwoods Rubber Stamps
Ink: Poppy Parade
Cardstock: Pretty Peacock, Poppy Parade, Basic White, Garden Walk DSP (retired)
Accessories: Stitched Rectangle Framelits (retired), Stylish Shapes Dies, Blooming Pearls (retired), Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I loved this pack of paper from the 2023 Holiday Mini Catalog and I try to use it whenever I can. This floral print just screamed Anniversary to me and I wanted to make a quick card with it.

I'm sorry for such a long post today, I just wanted to let you know where I've been and what's been going on. Hopefully, this week will be a little less dramatic and I can concentrate on getting back to creating because I have missed it!

Fruitful Blessings HB

 Hello & Happy Thursday!

Hope your all doing well!
I haven't posted in about a week since my hubby was off on vacation. We did so much around the house and he even went fishing a few days which made him happy! One day Kelsey came over and we tore apart the downstairs storage room. We had a truck bed full of stuff to take to the landfill, It looks alot better now! Yesterday I tackled painting the new door between the house & the garage and he got the front porch railings all painted. Another day we did a bunch of errands that needed done, I think I need a vacation from all that! LOL My birthday was on Tuesday and we really did not have anything planned other than supper out. I even had a piece of birthday cake which by the way, I've not had too many sweets in the last 7 months and it just did not taste right to me. Shawn's dad has been in the hospital so that seemed to dampen the mood but all in all it was a good day! And yesterday I finally got the text from CVS that my next dose of medicine was FINALLY filled and ready for pick up! It's been just about 5 weeks I've waited. Just crazy and let me tell you, it stressed me out!
Anyways, Shawn is back to work and Sunday we have a rail trail bike ride planned with his boss & wife. They now have these bikes that sit directly on the railroad tracks that you can ride. It looks like so much fun so we booked a trip for Sunday! I am SO excited and have been wanting to do it!

Ok enough about what's been going on with me....let's get to some crafty goodness!

I have a card to share today that I semi cased from someone. I had the picture on my phone and deleted it so I have no idea who it was. I was looking for some Fall cards and that one tooted my horn! Everything used was retired...

Card Details:

Stamp: Translucent Florals (sentiment), Fruitful Blessings (retired acorn)
Ink: Memento Black, Cajun Craze, Stampin Blends- Soft Suede (retired), Crumb Cake
Cardstock: Crumb Cake, Soft Suede (retired), Basic White, Color Me Autumn DSP (retired)
Accessories: Circle Layering Framelits (retired), Fruitful Blessings Dies (retired), Neutral Sequins, Linen Thread, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Today I am going to have a "me" day and get back to some inky fun.
Tonight is the Baltimore Ravens 1st football game of the season so we will probably watch alittle bit then head to bed. That is on way too late for us. I'm SO ready for football season! Our weather has been so nice...it quite literally could stay like this the rest of the year!
