Time for Candy Corn

Hello & Happy Thursday!

Hope your all having a great week so far!

Today i'm sharing another Halloween favorite, Candy Corn M&M Sticks!

These things are really fun & easy to make with Stampin Up's 1 X 8 Cello Bags.

I noticed with these Candy Corn M&M's that they are bigger than the normal sized M&M's and had to be very careful filling the bags. I split open a couple of them when I forced them down the bag. The tag was made using the retired Petite Pennant Builder Punch. I used some older Pumpkin Pie & Daffodil Delight 12 X 12 Paper Stacks to make the actual candy corn then layered them on the scalloped piece of Whisper White. My twine is Tangerine Tango that I used to tie my tag on top of the cello bag. Trick or Treat comes from the Good Greetings hostess set from last year. I punched that out with the Word Window Punch and glued directly onto my candy corn tag. I liked these for something different this year. I originally was going to fill my bags with Reese's Pieces but realized that there are some people with peanut allergies so I went back to using the Candy Corn M&M's. I also considered using Sixlets but could not find any in Halloween colors. Those are some options when looking to fill the 1 X 8 Cello Bags! I also wish M&M's would consider going back to using Halloween colors for their M&M's instead of fall colors. I mean, I love the fall ones for Thanksgiving but we need colors such as orange, purple, green & black for Halloween! Wouldn't they be awesome in a 1 X 8 Cello Bag!!!?? I think so!

Candy Corn M&M Sticks:

Stamps: Good Greetings (hostess 2014)
Ink: Basic Black Archival

Enough blabbing today!
I'm heading down to my craft table this afternoon to work on more fun goodies for Christmas! My shows will be here before you know it!

World Card Making Day 2015, A Day Late

Hello & Happy Sunday!

Hope your enjoying your weekend?

Yesterday was World Card Making Day 2015 and I stamped the afternoon away!

I wanted to get a post up but the day got away from me. Better late than never. right?

I made these cards for Audrey. She requested a pack of pumpkin cards with no sentiment inside or out. I looked high and low for a nice pumpkin but I had nothing from Stampin Up to fit the bill. I purchased this pumpkin stamp from Simon Says Stamp last December with the matching die. It's from Wplus9.

I made these cards as quick and easy as possible since this is my busy time of the year. I added an very small orange rhinestone just for a pop of sparkle. I rather like all the crisp white space without a ribbon or twine. I'm sure she will love them! I really like the print on this pumpkin and the clear heart center.

Pumpkin Cards for World Card Making Day:

Stamps: Pumpkin from Wplus9
Ink: Pumpkin Pie
Cardstock: Whisper White, Pumpkin Pie
Accessories: Stamp A Ma Jig, Small Recollections Rhinestones, Tombow Adhesive

Today I am heading to the craft table once again to make 30 Snowman Soups. I will have to wait to add the Candy Canes & Hershey Kisses once the Christmas candies come out in the stores. These are always a good seller!

That's all for today!
Thanks for stopping by & have a wonderful day!

Day 2 of Halloween

Hello & Happy Friday!

So glad the weekend is here! I've been pretty busy this past week in the stamp room! I'm all over the place with my creating this week, from Halloween to Christmas and Sympathy to Birthday! Yikes, no wonder my hands are hurting but I really enjoy creating!

This week has been pretty rainy with no end in sight right now. A hurricane is now headed up the east coast which they are predicting will brush us by with more heavy rains & wind. Mother Nature doesn't sound too happy! The doggies go for Doggy Day Spa tomorrow so I will be crafting more in hopes of getting craft show stuff soon wrapped up! Just bare with me if my posts start to get sporadic over the next several weeks.

Today I am sharing a cute little Halloween treat that I learned to make from Erica Cerwin. She makes the cutest projects! This treat holds a Rice Krispy Treat that I found at Walmart in a box of 60. I was not going to make 60 of these so I will use the rest for Trick or Treat night.

I was looking for something different this year and this fit the bill. There is a little pocket inside of this holder that holds the little bite sized Rice Krispy Treat. Erica used the Sparkly Seasons set on her treat holders. I used the new Howl-o-ween Treats set for mine and used a sentiment from last year from a set called Good Greetings. My paper is from the Happy Hauntings & the Polka Dot Parade DSP Packs. I used the new Spider Web Doilies which I cut in half. The Ribbon is Rich Razzleberry Stitched Ribbon & the Tangelo Twist Thick Twine from Sale A Bration this past year. These were so fun & easy to whip up! Here is the link to her tutorial if your interested.

Rice Krispy Treat Holders:

Stamps: Howl-o-ween Treats, Good Greetings
Ink: Basic Black (new pad), Tangelo Twist, Rich Razzleberry
Cardstock: Basic Black, Whisper White, Rich Razzleberry, Happy Hauntings DSP, Polka Dot Parade (Rich Razzleberry) DSP
Accessories: Boo to You Framelits, Spider Web Doilies, Star Punch, Word Window Punch, Scallop Tag Punch, Tangelo Twist Thick Twine, Rich Razzleberry Stitched Ribbon, Rhinestones, Dimensionals, Tombow Liquid

Well, that is all I have for today!
Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!

Halloween Mini Treat Bags

Hello & Happy October 1st!

Today since it is the 1st of October and it's the month of Halloween, I am going to start sharing the goodies that I made. I've been so excited to share these! Hope you will love what you see!

Up first is the Halloween Mini Treat Bags that I used the Mini Treat Bag Framelits to make. Another one of Stampin Up's awesome dies! I have a pull out tag in mine but will also add a snack size Kit Kat Candy Bar. You could always add a few bucks or a gift card as well as fill with some yummy candies. The possibilities are endless!

These were all so much fun to make!
I also want to add that these Mini Treat Bags will fit in a normal A2 sized envelope so you could send to family or friends....just can't fill it with candy to do that!

Halloween Mini Treat Bags:

Stamps: Howl O Ween Treat, Sweet Hauntings, Fall Fest, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Ink: Basic Black, Tangerine Tango

Corner Garden Birthday

Hello & Happy Wednesday!

Can you believe today is the last day of September!
Time is flying by so quickly anymore!

Today I created a card for a birthday. I made one a few weeks ago as a "Thank You" that was just like it . I really liked the look of the stamp just by embossing it.

I was taken with the Corner Garden stamp when it came out but i'm not one who likes to color that much. I love the look of it embossed in white and i've added a few rhinestone for sparkle and some White Baker's Twine. My sentiment is popped up with 2 dimensionals and I used the Hexagon Punch to make the flag ends. Easy Peasy!

Corner Garden Birthday Card:

Stamps: Corner Garden Background, SU Sentiment (can't think of the name)
Ink: Versamark
Cardstock: Wisteria Wonder, Whisper White
Accessories: Hexagon Punch, Winter's White Embossing Powder, Heat Gun, Rhinestones, White Baker's Twine, Dimensionals, 2 Sided Tape

That's all for me today!
Stay tuned tomorrow for the start of Halloween goodies!
Can't wait to share them with you!

Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!

Color Challenge 550

Hello & Happy Tuesday!
Today is Color Challenge day over at SCS. I had a few other things on my table that needed my attention before I got to play along so that's the reason for the late update.

Here are the colors:
Dessert option was to make a sky on your card.

These colors are very pretty together but remind of spring time.
I passed on dessert and went with a beautiful butterfly instead.

Just as I was headed downstairs to play along today, my dear customer Audrey called me. She needed more cards! She asked for a pack with butterflies on...no sentiment inside or out. So I used today's colors for her order! I like them and hope she will too!

Color Challenge 550 Card:

Stamps: none
Ink; none
Cardstock: Marina Mist, Soft Sky & Daffodil Delight
Accessories: Elegant Dots EF, Bold Butterfly Framelits, Soft Sky 1/8 Taffeta Ribbon, Small White Pearls, Tombow Liquid Multipurpose Glue, 2 Sided Tape

Another rainy day on tap here in PA. I think we under the gun for rain for the next 4-5 days! Kelsey is here visiting for a few days so it's going to be a miserable few days with this weather. I will take it though, we need the rain!

Well, that's all I have for today!
Thanks for stopping by & have a wonderful day!

Merry Monday Challenge #173

Hello & Happy Monday!

Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!

Today we have a new challenge for you over at Merry Monday to help get those Christmas cards made! Time is passing us by so quickly and the holidays will be here before you know it. I hope our challenges are helping you in getting your Christmas cards made ahead of time!

Kristie is our hostess this week so let's get to her challenge!

This was a toughie for me!
I racked my brain thinking of what to make for this. Finally, I pulled out this retired Stampin Up set called Tree Trimmings and started stamping my ornaments in the colors of the rainbow. Once I had them stamped out I started to love the card! I finished it up with some Thick Island Indigo Twine from Recollections and some colored rhinestones to match each ornament! You know me, I love alittle sparkle or shine on my cards! :) I think I also found the perfect sentiment to go along with my rainbow colored ornaments!

This is a fun challenge and Thank You, Kristie for challenging me on this one!
I am pleased with the outcome!!

Hope you will stop by the Merry Monday blog to see what the ladies created for this challenge! Lots of amazing idea's to spark inspiration! I also hope you will join in and play along with us! Our challenge runs thru Sunday!

Stamps: Tree Trimmings, Hero Arts sentiment

Fall is in the Air

Hello & Happy Sunday!

Happy Fall Y'all!!

I'm a few days late on wishing everyone a "Happy Fall". I've been really busy with wrapping up the last of my Halloween projects. We've been enjoying some beautiful weather here in South Central PA the last few days. This is definitely my kind of weather and my back has been happy about it too!

Yesterday I was in the craft room all day! I had a great time creating some Christmas projects but also threw in this cute little Halloween Pillow Box! This will be a Thank You to Audrey for all her orders. I know she will love it! Not sure she is a Kit Kat candy bar eater so I may change that out with something else.

This is Stampin Up's new Pillow Box Thinlit Die and coordinating stamp set, A Little Something. I just love it! I love that you can create a window in this or make a tag. I love the 3 little shaped dies that come with it. I used the pumpkins on mine but there are also leaves & trees which i'm sure you will see me using as those occasions come in the next several months. This pillow box is much bigger than the one Stampin Up had out several years ago. It definitely holds much more! I have 4 Snack Size Orange Colored Kit Kat bars in this which I could have probably gotten 1 more in but I did not want to put stress on the sides. I would also suggest to use a very strong adhesive on this as the sides would come apart very quickly! Behind my little window & row of pumpkins I placed a piece of Window Sheet or Acetate Paper to keep my candies in place. Stampin Up also does sell the Window Sheets. This little project is a 10 on my scale!!! I just love this for gift giving!

Trick or Treat Pillow Box:

Stamps: A Little Something
Cardstock: Tangerine Tango, Whisper White
Ink: Tangerine Tango
Accessories: Pillow Box Thinlit Dies,Window Sheet, Tangerine Tango/Whisper White Twine (from last year's Holiday Mini), Dimensional, Tombow Liquid Multipurpose Glue

I hope you enjoyed seeing this!
I was sharing with Shawn every step of the way in making this last evening. I can't tell you how thrilled I was with this set of Thinlits! SO MUCH FUN!

This coming week is the start of October! Where has the time gone!!
I will then start to share all the Halloween goodies i've been slaving over the last few weeks. Can't wait to show you so stay tuned!!

That's all for me on this Sunday!
Thanks for stopping by & have a wonderful day!
I'll see you tomorrow for Merry Monday!

Today is Color Challenge day and today Mary has a lovely group of colors for us!

Here are the colors:

Whisper White, Silver & Lost Lagoon
w/ dessert option of making a Christmas card

Easy Peasy! I actually made a package of 5 again for the craft show!

I was a little late getting started since I had Halloween stuff on my table that needed to be finished then it was off to make my Christmas card. I really like how soft these colors are! I had a hard time debating whether I wanted to add ribbon or twine to this but lastly decided that it did not need anything but some sparkly rhinestones!

Hope you like!

Stamps: Endless Wishes
Ink: Lost Lagoon
Cardstock: Lost Lagoon, Neenah White, Silver Foil Paper, All Is Calm DSP
Accessories: Expressions Thinlits Die, Fine Tip Glue Pen, Rhinestones, 2 Sided Tape

Merry Monday Challenge #172

Hello & Happy Monday!

Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Time for another challenge from over at Merry Monday! This week we are "Watercoloring" on our Christmas cards! Such a fun challenge! Our fellow Merry Maker, Katie chose this challenge before she stepped down from the design team a few weeks ago. We decided to honor her with continuing on with her terrific challenge! This is for you, Katie!

I just have to say that I love this card but watercoloring has never been my forte! When I lived in Missouri a few years back, my dear friend Vicki Burdick gave me a watercoloring class and I tried to remember some of the things she taught me when coloring up this image. I hope I made her proud!

Merry Monday Challenge #172 Card:

Stamps: Snow Much Fun
Ink: Black Stazon, Pool Party, Real Red, Smoky Slate, Pumpkin Pie
Cardstock: Pool Party, Real Red, Neenah White, Fresh Prints DSP Paper Pad
Accessories: Aqua Painter, Fine Tip Glue Pen, Glitter, Real Red 1/8 Taffeta Ribbon, 2 Sided Tape

Hope you will stop by the Merry Monday blog to see what the other Merry Makers created this week and will join in and play along with us! Remember Christmas will soon be here!

That's all I have for today!
Thanks for playing along & have a wonderful day!

Happy Birthday, Everyone!

Hello & Happy Sunday!

It's football day here today and that means time to relax!

We had our good friends, Deb & Ed over last night for a cookout & firepit and then they stayed over night. We had such a fun time! I really miss them as neighbors but thankfully we have continued to stay very good friends since we moved away. It was the perfect evening to grill out then sit by the fire. Even Ryan joined us!

So, today I am just sharing a pack of cards I made for a card order. Audrey sure keeps me busy! She's anxious for the Halloween goodies and I told her that they would be ready soon! She also requested a pack of pumpkin cards when I get the time. I can do that!

She raved over the colors on this card! Watermelon Wonder is a very summery color and I like it with Bermuda Bay! I wanted to add a bow but decided to keep them mail friendly for her.

Happy Birthday Card Set:

Stamps: Happy Birthday, Everyone (hostess)
Ink: Bermuda Bay
Cardstock: Watermelon Wonder, Cucumber Crush, Bermuda Bay, Cherry On Top DSP Paper Pad
Accessories: 2 Sided Tape

That's all for today!
Going to finish watching the game and maybe grab a nap! It was a late night! I'm too old for 1am bedtime! LOL

Thanks for stopping by & enjoy the rest of your weekend!
See you tomorrow for Merry Monday!
