Freshly Made Sketches 386

Hello & Happy Monday!

Hope you had a nice weekend!
After a rainy, dreary weekend I am looking forward to seeing some sunshine today!

Today I have a card to share that I made for a little boy's birthday which is part of a card order.
So glad I picked up the Stampin Up! No Bones About It set when it hit the retired list last year!
I used the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches Challenge and it's an awesome one!

Here is the sketch and my sample....

I saw this sketch and had to play along because I love a tilted panel!

Card Details:

Stamps: No Bones About It (retired)
Ink: Marina Mist (retired), Gray Granite
Cardstock: Marina Mist, Gray Granite, Whisper White, Gray Granite DSP
Accessories: Stitched Shapes Framelits, Circle Layering Framelits, Marina Mist Enamel Dots (retired), Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Of course, after I made my card I realized I switched the "any shape" panel and the place where the sentiment was to go. Hope that's alright....

Best Catch

Hello & Happy Sunday!

We are having another dreary, rainy weekend here in PA!
It makes me just want to stay in bed with the blankets over my head!

Yesterday was my Stamp Day w Friends!
We made a few cards but mostly gabbed the entire time....4 hours to be exact!
They are such great friends to me!
And they use to live on either side of me as my neighbors from my old neighborhood.

Anyways, today I am going to share 1 of the cards we made using the Best Catch set from the Occasions Mini Catalog.

The Cajun Craze piece was stamped with my retired Weathered Background stamp from many years ago. It looks so much like the Crackle Paint Background stamp that is out now. I love pulling out old things and mixing it with new!
Best Catch is a new bundle available until the end of May.
The Catch of the Day Thinlits are amazing....I really like this bundle!
So, the die that cut out the fish....well it cuts the fins as well and they stick out!
I know it doesn't take much to entertain me but that just gives the fish a WOW factor!

Card Details:

Stamps: Best Catch, Perennial Birthday, Weathered Background Stamp (retired)
Ink: Memento Black, Cajun Craze, Stampin Blends
Cardstock: Thick Very Vanilla, Cajun Craze, Old Olive, Very Vanilla
Accessories: Catch of the Day Thinlits, Wink of Stella, Old Olive Enamel Dots, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

My friends love making masculine cards so I promise you will be seeing alot more of this fish!
Hehe! I always enjoy our stamp get together's and look forward to the next one!

Yummy In My Tummy

Hello & Happy Friday!

The weekend is upon us!
It's going to be a rainy one here in PA and hopefully it will help wash away the pollen.
Today my hubby has the day off so we are going to run some errands.
I need to pick up some snacks for a Stamp Day w Friends tomorrow morning.
I have 2 friends coming over to catch up and make a few cards!

Anyways, I have a cute card to share that I made for a card order.
It's for a little girl that is turning 3 soon.
This was one tough card to create since I am very limited on kids stamps!

This cute little guy comes from a retired set called Yummy In My Tummy.
I stamped him on a piece of paper from the How Sweet It Is DSP then fussy cut him out.
I added a sentiment from a retired SaleABration set called Party Pants.
I punched out a balloon with the Balloon Bouquet Punch using the same DSP and since it's for a girl, I added a little bow using some Pineapple Punch Grosgrain Ribbon.

Card Details:

Stamps: Yummy In My Tunny (retired), Party Pants (retired SAB 15)
Ink: Memento Black, Melon Mambo
Cardstock: Melon Mambo, Coastal Cabana, Whisper White, How Sweet It Is DSP
Accessories: Circle Layering Framelits, Balloon Bouquet Punch, Rhinestones, Pineapple Punch Grosgrain Ribbon, Glue Dots, White Twine, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I've really got to work on getting some stamps for kids for in the future!
I am pleased that this one turned out nicely and hope it's not too scary for a little one.

Seasonal Strawberries

Hello & Happy Thursday!

It's been a whirlwind of a week and I for one am looking forward to the weekend!

I sat yesterday and worked on a card order for my customer.
She wants a pack of birthday cards with something seasonal for May & June.
As I went on a mission looking thru retired paper I found the pack of 6x6 dsp from last year's Occasions Mini Catalog called Tutti Fruiti and I found this pretty paper with the strawberries on.
Yep, they will work for something seasonal!

Since there is not enough of the dsp to fill a whole card front I cut it up along with several other pieces and layered them. I kept these simple, no ribbon or twine. Just added my sentiment and a retired Silver Metallic Enamel Dot!

Card Details:

Stamps: Beautiful Bouquet
Ink: Night of Navy
Cardstock: Real Red, Lemon Lime Twist, Night of Navy, Whisper White, Tutti Fruiti DSP (retired)
Accessories: Circle Layering Framelits, Silver Metallic Enamel Dots (retired), Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

If only all cards were this simple to make!

Daisy Pocket Pouches

 Happy Wednesday, Everyone!

Yesterday I graduated from my Light Therapy for my psoriasis!
WooHoo! I'm thrilled that I was able to get in all 24 sessions and have great results!
I may have to move to the beach after seeing how well my spots have responded to the lights! Haha!
Doctor did not mention me getting my own Light Box for at home but Shawn & I talked about it and I think we will start looking for a used tanning bed and then look into getting the special bulbs for it.
I can't tell you how much better my skin looks & feels at the moment but I know at any time the spots can start back up because that's how psoriasis rolls. It will never go away as there is NO cure but the sun & light box definitely help keep it under control. Keeping it under control is key!

Today I have a cute little treat box to share with you!
My friend and fellow demonstrator, Debbie Henderson, shared these on one of her FB Lives recently.
She paired the Pocket Framelits with the Best Catch Bundle and it was so cool!
I love the things she creates!
I decided that afternoon to create my own but using things to make it more girly!

Page 50 of the current Stampin Up Catalog has the Pocketful of Sunshine stamp set on it.
I've had it and the matching Pocket Framelits since the bundle came out.
I really have not played with it too much so when I seen Debbie's idea to make it into a treat box...I had to get it out and try it! She has a video for it and once I find it I will update it here with the link.

On these I used all the colors that are used in the Gingham Gala DSP so I could use it for the centers of my Daisies! I hate to see this DSP retiring soon because the colors are so refreshing & pretty for spring!

Project Details:

Stamps: Pocketful of Sunshine, Itty Bitty Greetings (sentiment)
Ink: Memento Black, Lemon Lime Twist, Highland Heather, Balmy Blue, Grapefruit Grove, Daffodil Delight
Cardstock: Lemon Lime Twist, Highland Heather, Balmy Blue, Grapefruit Grove, Daffodil Delight, Whisper White, Gingham Gala DSP
Accessories: Pocket Framelits, Classic Label Punch, Daisy Punch, Organdy Ribbon (SAB 19), 3/4 in Circle Punch, Hole Punch, Dimensionals, Tombow Liquid Glue

Sadly, the Pocketful of Sunshine stamp set is on the retiring list.
You only have yet this month to get it!
However, the Pocket Framelits are carrying over and also a new stamp set is coming that uses these same framelits! I'm pretty sure the new set will be on my Wish List!

These cute little pouches can hold 2 snack sized candy bars.
I added a Hershey Bar and a Kit Kat! YUM!
Aren't they cute little treat holders!
Thanks to Debbie for sharing hers!

Case This Sketch #319

Hello & Happy Tuesday!

Today is my last light therapy session! YAY!
I am up to 4 minutes in the Light Box and i'm pleased to say that i've had really good results from this! Psoriasis is no fun no matter how you look at it. The light treatments have made most of my plaques go away except for the ones on my scalp, hairline & ears.
Right after my session this afternoon I will see my dermatologist and we'll figure out what the next step will be. Fingers crossed!

So, yesterday I spent the afternoon stamping!
I knew I needed to get a bunch of stuff done and then my customer called to give me another card order.  I got my inspiration from the Case This Sketch Challenge and got to work on this pack of cards for her!

Here is the sketch and my samples....

Such an easy sketch and since I have been on a roll with using the Daisy Punch this spring, I decided to use it again for this project! I know my customer loves Daisies so these will be perfect for her!
I also paired it up with the beautiful Gingham Gala DSP!
Oh, and don't forget that pretty SaleABration Organdy Ribbon, too!

Card Details:

Stamps: Butterfly Gala (sentiment)
Ink: Memento Black
Cardstock: Lemon Lime Twist, Balmy Blue, Daffodil Delight, Grapefruit Grove, Highland Heather, Whisper White, Gingham Gala DSP
Accessories: Daisy Punch, 3/4 Circle Punch, Organdy Ribbon (SAB 19), Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I think they scream springtime, don't you!

My thoughts today....

It just hit me that today is the last day of April!
Time seems to fly by, doesn't it?
And yes, they are calling for more showers here in PA today! *sigh*

That's all for now!
Thanks for stopping by & make it a wonderful day!

Today I have a quick card to share made using The Paper Players sketch this week.

Here is the sketch and my sample...

With Mother's Day fast approaching I needed some help in getting a few cards made for a few special people. This layout was easy and it did not take long to whip this up!

Card Details:

Stamps: Sentimental Rose (SU April Paper Pumpkin Kit)
Ink: Daffodil Delight, Memento Black
Cardstock: Daffodil Delight, Smoky Slate, Whisper White, Gingham Gala DSP
Accessories: Circle Layering Framelits, Layering Leaves EF, Organdy Ribbon (SAB 19), Gold Metallic Enamel Dot, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Global Design Project #186

Hello & Happy Sunday!

Hope your weekend is going well.
Yesterday it got really windy so we put off power washing the house and cleaning windows.
Not sure when we will get to that.
Today they are calling for rain, again!

Since my Saturday ended up with nothing to do, I went down to my stamp table.
I had 2 projects to finish up for next week's class.
After I got that done I decided to stamp!

Here is a sketch I found from Global Design Project #186

I loved the Coffee Cafe bundle that came out a few years ago and sadly Stampin Up retired it last year. It's another one of those sets that will live on in my stamp room!

Card Details:

Stamps: Coffee Cafe
Ink: Garden Green, Soft Sky (retired), Early Espresso
Cardstock: Early Espresso, Garden Green, Whisper White, Coffee Break DSP (retired)
Accessories: Coffee Cup Framelits (retired), Stitched Rectangle Framelits, Square Layering Framelits, Subtle EF, Corrugated Elements, 1/2 Circle Punch, Santa's Workshop Enamel Dots (retired), Linen Thread, Glue Dots, Mini Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I wasn't quite sure what sentiment to put on this so I used the "Hi" from the same stamp set.
I punched it out with a 1/2 Circle Punch and layered it on a Corrugated Element.

What a fun challenge!

Thanks for stopping by & enjoy your day no matter what you do!
It might be a nap for me!

Jars of Love

Good Morning & Happy Saturday!

I hope everyone fared ok thru the storms yesterday afternoon!
They weren't too bad in my area but they hit just as we left to go to light therapy!
It dumped buckets of rain! Once we got home and had supper the sun came out.
Crazy springtime storms!

Today I have a card to show that I made using the Jars of Love stamp set.

Take a look...

I made this for on my card rack since my Sympathy cards are getting low.
Always good to have this kind of card on hand!

Card Details:

Stamps: Jars of Love, Flourishing Phrases
Ink: Gray Granite, Granny Apple Green, Flirty Flamingo, Balmy Blue
Cardstock: Flirty Flamingo, Whisper White
Accessories: Everyday Jar Framelits, Oval Layering Framelits, Rhinestones, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Sadly, this set will be retiring soon but won't be leaving my collection anytime soon!

Flowering Desert

Hello & Happy Friday!

A rainy, stormy day is on tap here.
I have light therapy early this afternoon and hope to make it back home before any storms start!

Yesterday I sat down & did some stamping.
I found a sketch on Facebook from Freshly Made Sketches and decided to play along!
It's been along time since I played along with one of their challenges!!!

Here is the sketch and my sample...

I pulled out my Flowering Desert stamp set because I thought it worked well for this sketch!
I've only had it since January and it's finally seen ink!
I'm really happy with the outcome!

Card Details:

Stamps: Flowering Desert
Ink: Shaded Spruce, Granny Apple Green, Melon Mambo
Cardstock: Melon Mambo, Shaded Spruce, Whisper White
Accessories: Rhinestones, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

This was so much fun!
Hope you like my card!

Big on Birthdays

Good Morning & Happy Thursday!

Today will be a stamping day for me!
Hubby went back to work so I will be able to concentrate on getting somethings made.
Not that he bothers me when I am at my stamp table, I just hate spending time stamping when I can spend time with him. Yesterday was a gorgeous day but much to windy for a bike ride. We spent most of the afternoon out on the back porch playing with the dogs. Could not have asked for a nicer day!

I have another pack of birthday cards to share that I made up to put on my card rack.
Again, everything is retired.

The big bold birthday sentiment comes from the Big on Birthdays set that retired last year.
It has a flower spray attached to it but I cut it off to use separately.
The sentiment panel was diecut with the Stitched Rectangle Framelits then I added the pretty flower from the retired Birthday Blossoms set which also retired last year. That set never seen ink..until now!

Card Details:

Stamps: Big on Birthdays (retired), Birthday Blossoms (retired)
Ink: Mossy Meadow, Blushing Bride
Cardstock: Mossy Meadow, Blushing Bride, Whisper White, Birthday Bouquet DSP (retired)
Accessories: Stitched Rectangle Framelits, Pansy Punch (retired), Rhinestones, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Another sheet of the Birthday Bouquet DSP used for these!
That particular sheer is rather busy and I was determined to use it.
Today I need to focus on Sympathy cards for the card rack.
I like to work ahead so when my customers need something....it's already done!
