Dynamic Duo's Challenge #92

Good Morning & Happy Thursday!

Today, i'm sharing my card that I made for this week's Dynamic Duo's Challenge. So without farther ado...let's get to it!

 Love these colors!

I'm in need of a Thank You card so I went with my Chalk Talk set with coordinating Framelits. This is such a great set! I embossed the one white panel with the Cuttlebug Geometric Squares Embossing Folder and added a few little rhinestones in the center. It gives the card a bit of sparkle. I added some Midnight Muse Ribbon & bow and I had my card all together within about 20 minutes! Don't you love it when a card goes together they way you envisioned it in your head???!!

Dynamic Duo's Challenge #92 Card:

Stamps: Chalk Talk
Ink: Midnight Muse & Rose Red SU Markers
Cardstock: Neenah White, Whisper White, Rose Red
Accessories: Cuttlebug Geometric Squares EF, Chalk Talk Framelits, Midnight Muse Ribbon, Rhinestones, Glue Dots, Liquid Mono

Well, that's all for today!
Thanks so much for stopping by & have a great day!

Sketch Challenge 478

Hello & Happy Wednesday!

I apologize for no post yesterday. My back has been giving me some discomfort again. We went grocery shopping over the weekend and I helped carry groceries to the truck. They weren't heavy bags but the way I carried them or I must have twisted a certain way and WHAM, it hit me. I almost dropped the bags in the middle of the parking lot!!!  I have been sore & hurting since and it did not make for a fun day of cleaning the house Monday. Yesterday, I took it easy but it's not any better. I have decided it's time for me to start my injection therapy. I was trying so hard to stay away from having it done but at this point it's my last resort. After talking to my older brother today, i'm thinking i'm going to need more than 1 shot. He has the same issues with his back as well and he said it took him 3 injections before he felt better. So next Friday morning I go in for my first injection! Excited.....NO but I am excited to get some relief.

So, today I was out to lunch with my parent's. It was just what I needed! When I got home I went down to my stamp table and got a card made for today's Sketch Challenge.

Here is the sketch & my card....

I already had the bunny embossed & cut out with my circle nesties so the rest just fell into place!

Sketch Challenge 478 Card:

Stamps: Chocolate Bunny, Sentiment is Stampin Up
Ink: Versamark, White Embossing Powder
Cardstock: Almost Amethyst, Certainly Celery, Tea Party DSP

Hope ya like!

Well, that is all for me for tonight!
I hear my bed calling my name!
Thanks for stopping by & have a good night!

Merry Monday Challenge #98

Hello & Happy Monday!

It's time for another terrific challenge from over at Merry Mondays!
This week we have a terrific challenge so I hope you can grab some supplies and play along!

Here we go!

This challenge was a wonderful one but boy, did it stump me! I guess I really do not have much in country Christmas stamps! As I sat and stewed over this it hit me that I had a scrapbook kit that Stampin Up had out when I first got into stamping. It is called Hand Stitched Holiday and I also seem to think there was a coordinating stamp set. Anyways, I dug out the kit and used a few pieces from it for this card. The DSP is also from the kit. I did however stamp the little sentiment, punched it out from the small Oval Punch and sponged some Chocolate Chip around the edges to give it a country feel. I also added 2 buttons tied with twine on the swag and also on the stocking. I was quite pleased with it!

On the inside I put another punched out swag and stamped a sentiment that I felt was perfect for this challenge. What do you think??

Merry Monday #98 Card:

Stamps: Stampin Up!
Ink: Chocolate Chip
Cardstock: Chocolate Chip,  Real Red, Whisper White, DSP from Hand Stitched Holiday Simply Scrappin Kit
Accessories: Hand Stitched Holiday Scrappin Kit, Buttons, Twine, Small Oval Punch, Sponge, Liquid Mono

Hope you can stop by the Merry Monday blog to see what the other ladies have created this! Amazing idea's for sure!

Thanks for stopping by & have a great Monday!

A Special Birthday & A Valentines Treat

Hello & Happy Sunday!

Just a quick update on what I ment to share on Friday but somehow I totally forgot about these cuties!

I made these Valentines Day match packs shortly after Christmas. I love these for a different little gift idea! My match packs have a snack sized pack of M&M's inside.

Match Packs made with a variety of stamps, papers & embellishments!

Also today we are celebrating our Princess Gigi's Birthday!! It was one year ago today that we went to Virginia and adopted her from a wonderful lady who fosters for the Operation Paws for Homes Rescue. I knew Gigi was the dog for us as soon as I saw the picture of her. She reminded me so much of our beloved Fluffy. I remember being so nervous when we went to Virginia to meet her. A year later, I can say that she is the perfect fit for our family! You know the saying...Who rescued who?!

Kelsey got her & Bailee a little birthday cake for them to share later today! First we plan a walk in the park before more snow comes this evening. I know she will love that!

Well, that's all for today!
Thanks for stopping by & have a wonderful day!

Valentine's Day Treats

Hello & Happy Friday!

Busy day ahead for me! Tonight i'm having my stamp girls over for a Stampin Up! party!
I am so looking forward to lots of fun & laughs with them!

Since it's the last day of February and this is the month of love, I am sharing the last of my Valentine's Day treats....so here we go!

I love this Tags 4 You stamp set! It coordinates with the Label Bracket Punch. My Russell Stovers Marshmellow Treat is in a Medium SU Cello Bag with a topper on it. I used the Polka Dot Parade DSP  and added some White Stitched Grosgrain with a single knot. On my "Happy Heart Day" I added a small rhinestone heart that was in my stash from Amuse. I sold quite a few of these for Valentine's Day!

Treat Bag:

Stamps: Tags 4 You

This came with the Pool Party Twine and banner flags. I stamped wthe heart from the Filled With Love retired stamp set and added my Happy Valentine's Day flag & red rhinestone. These were so easy to whip up! I gave these to the kids & my aunt who always orders things from me. I filled these with a Ghiradelli Chocolate Square and a Russell Stovers individual Marshmellow Heart. So so cute!!

Dynamic Duo's Challenge #91

Hello & Happy Thursday!

Today i'm sharing my Dynamic Duo's #91 card.
Here are the colors:

We've been having such a cold, snowy winter that when I seen these colors it reminded me of this new SU stamp called Blessed Easter with these beautiful tulips! I colored my image with ink pads and a blender pen and mounted it to a piece of Melon Mambo. My next layer I embossed with the Fancy Fan Embossing Folder and layered that onto a piece of Tangerine Tango. I tied a piece of Wild Wasabi Stitched Grosgrain around that with a bow and attached it to my Neenah White cardbase. Lastly, I added 5 white pearls and called it done. Loved these colors!

Sketch Challenge 477

Hello & Happy Wednesday!

I was up bright & early today and seen it was snowing so I headed down to my stamp table to get a few things marked off my "to do list". I got some Merry Monday commitments finished up and then moved on to today's Sketch Challenge from over at Splitcoaststampers. Here is the sketch and my card samples...

Made another St. Patrick's Day card with a "new to me" single stamp called Lucky Day that I just got from Ebay and it arrived in the mail yesterday!  My background is embossed with a Darice Shamrocks embossing folder and my sentiment comes from a really old set called More Great Greetings.

Stamps: Lucky Day (single stamp), More Great Greetings, Darcie's (inside)
Ink: Garden Green
Cardstock: Garden Green, Whisper White, Shamrock DSP from Recollections

Well, that is all from me today!
Now that the snow has stopped and the sun is shining (but it's still bitterly COLD), I need to go get some laundry started and straighten up!

Merry Monday Challenge #97

Hello & Happy Monday!

Hope everyone had a nice weekend!
Our weather was wonderful for a change with temps in the 50's but it was short lived. Today we are to be back in the 30's and it's to be cold & snowy this week. Not what I want to hear but it is what it is! Spring will arrive soon, I hope!

So, in the meantime we have another challenge this week from over at Merry Mondays! It's a color challenge so I hope you can grab some supplies and play along with us this week!

Here we go....

I really like this color combo for this week's challenge! I pulled out a retired SU stamp set called Silent Night. I got this set off of Ebay about a year ago for a cheap price. Sad part is, this is the first i've used it. I embossed my snowy image with Silver Embossing Powder and then cut it out with Oval Nesties. My next layer was embossed with the SU Snow Burst Embossing Folder. I attached my oval panel on it and added some Silver Pearls and the Metallic Silver 1/8 Ribbon & bow. All that was layered on to a piece of Coastal Cabana cardstock and then attached to my Neenah White cardbase. It's quite pretty in person and I love it!

Merry Monday Challenge Week #97 Card:

Stamps: Silent Night
Ink: Versamark, Silver Embossing Powder
Cardstock: Neenah White, Coastal Cabana
Accessories: Oval Nesties, Snow Burst EF, Silver Pearls, Silver Metallic Ribbon, Heat Gun, Liquid Mono

Free 4 All Challenge #209

Hello & Happy Friday!

My hubby is home today because the garage door guy was coming to put the new parts on since it broke on us last week. The guy has been here, fixed and gone already so while that was happening I snuck downstairs to make a really quick card then I plan to shower and spend the rest of the day with him! :)

Today is the Free 4 All Challenge over at SCS. I have not played along with this challenge in a very long time! When I seen what the theme was today I knew I had to play along!

Here we go!

Today's Free 4 All Challenge is themed: Oh My Hexagons!

Well, I have had Stampin Up!'s Six Sided Sampler & matching punch since it came out in the current catty last summer and I have never used it, well, until today! And i'm quite certain after today that I will use it more often!

It seems the current colors of Real Red, Coastal Cabana, Pool Party & White are very popular right now. I do love this color scheme and just fell in love with my card today!

F4A209 Challenge Card:

Stamps: Six Sided Sampler
Ink: Real Red, Coastal Cabana
Cardstock: Real Red, Whisper White, Coastal Cabana

Dynamic Duo's Challenge #90

Hello & Happy Thursday!

The sun is shining and our temps are warming up the next few days so today I hopped on getting a card made for this week's Dynamic Duo's Challenge. I love playing along with this one!

Here are the colors and my card samples...

The dessert option is to make a different shaped/fun card. I made a 3 fold card. Not sure of the right name for this fold but I love the different look! I made my card base Basic Black with a layer on each panel of Neenah White cardstock then a layer of Polka Dot Parade DSP. My sentiment on the front is from a single stamp called Beautiful Birthday. The sentiment on the middle panel is a DRS Designs and my beautiful flower on the back panel is from the Regarding Dahlia's stamp set. I'm very pleased with it!

Dynamic Duo's Challenge #90 Card:

Stamps: Regarding Dahlia's, Beautiful Birthday, DRS Designs
Ink: Daffodil Delight, Memento Black
Cardstock: Basic Black, Neenah White, Whisper White, Daffodil Delight, Polka Dot Parade DSP

Sketch Challenge 476

Hello & Happy Wednesday!

Today is Sketch Challenge day over at SCS and I love the sketch this week!

My parents 55th wedding anniversary was on Valentines Day and I had a card ready for them but really did not like it. Since I have not seen them yet because of all the winter weather Mother Nature has been throwing at us, I still have their card here. With this week's sketch challenge I decided to make another card for them.

Here we go!

I did however let the little banner off my card. Maybe i'll make another card just to have the banner on! Anyways, i'm very happy with this card but was a bit frustrated that i've had this set for about 2 years and it was only partially mounted so I had to mount it before I even had a chance to get inky!

Sketch Challenge 476 Card:

Stamps: Memorable Moments
Ink: Real Red
Cardstock: Real Red, Whisper White, Polka Dot Parade DSP
Accessories: Heart Nestibilities, Arrows EF, Sm Heart Punch, Red Button, Real Red 1/8 Taffeta Ribbon, White Pearls, Liquid Mono

That's all for now!
Off to make another card that is identical to the sketch!
Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!

Color Challenge 466

Hello & Happy Tuesday!

I'm back today with a card that I made for today's Color Challenge from over at SCS.

Here are the colors and my card....

Wild Wasabi, Strawberry Slush & Daffodil Delight

I loved today's colors because they are so springy! I think most people will agree that they are tired of all the snow that just keeps coming. We are in for a warm up here this week but I think it's going to be short lived with more snow coming next week. Anyways, I went with a sympathy card since my card rack is lacking on them. I used some new stuff on this like the Deco Framelit Dies, Decorative Dots Embossing Folder and a SAB set called You're Lovely. I'm very happy with the outcome!

Color Challenge 466 Card:

Stamps: You're Lovely SAB '14, Petite Pairs
Ink: Strawberry Slush, Memento Black
Cardstock: Neenah White, Wild Wasabi, Strawberry Slush, Wild Wasabi DSP
Accessories: Deco Framelits, Decorative Dots EF., Daffodil Delight Stitched Grosgrain, Wild Wasabi Stitched Ribbon, Stamp A Ma Jig, White Pearls, Dimensionals, Liquid Mono

That's all for today!
Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!

Merry Monday Challenge Week #96

Hello & Happy Monday!

Hope everyone had a nice weekend!
It was nice spending it with my hubby after a very long & very snowy week! We have snow coming out our ears here in south central Pennsylvania! We had a major snow storm here last Wednesday/Thursday/Friday & Saturday which landed us about 20 inches of the white stuff. Alot of places closed for the event but Shawn's work however did not. With my back issue I don't dare shovel snow anymore like I have done for many years and I get so frustrated with not being able to help. Gigi & Bailee are not caring much for the white stuff either. I keep telling them that spring will be here soon and then we can go to the doggie park & take lots of walks. At this point they probably think i'm telling them fib stories! LOL Hope spring soon arrives!

Since today is Monday that means it's time for another great challenge from over at Merry Mondays!
Grab some supplies and play along with us! In no time you will have quite a stack of cards all ready to go for the holiday season!
Here we go!

I used a retired SU set called Peaceful Season for the beautiful holly sprig that is in the set. I also love the font used for the writing as well! This card came together quite quickly and I love how CAS it is!

Merry Monday Week #96 Card:

Stamps: Peaceful Season
Ink: Always Artichoke, Cherry Cobbler
Cardstock: Always Artichoke, Kraft, Very Vanilla
Accessories: Stamp A Ma Jig, Gold Beads, Gold Trim Sheer Ribbon, Liquid Mono

Hope you will stop by the Merry Monday blog to see what the other ladies created for this challenge. So much inspiration!

Well, that's all for me today!
Thanks for stopping by & have a wonderful day!
