Tuesday Morning Sketches

Hello & Happy Thursday!

Today I am sharing my card I made for the Tuesday Morning Sketches.
I have been playing along with lots of challenges this past week.
June & July is usually my down months for card orders so this is my time to play!

Here is the sketch and my sample...

My card uses the Everything Is Rosy Medley that was Stampin Up!'s promotion for the month of May. I did not use much of it up to this point so now I am working on trying to use it as well as filling my card rack with some fresh new cards!
The DSP in the medley is beautiful with the pops of Rose Gold Foil in it!
Too pretty not to use!

Card Details:

Stamps: Dear Doily (retired)
Ink: Night of Navy
Cardstock: Thick Whisper White, Melon Mambo, Whisper White, Rose Gold Foil Paper, Everything Is Rosy DSP
Accessories: Stitched Shapes Framelits, Everything is Rosy Punch Out Flowers, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I decorated the inside but forgot to take a picture of it!

I'm pleased with the outcome and hope that you like it too!

Hello & Happy Wednesday!

Hope your week is going well so far!

I have been on a much needed roll with playing with my stamps, ink & paper this past week!
I have been trying hard to look for challenges to help me create cards and I found this one on my friend, LeAnne's blog and thought to play along....

I decided to play with my To A Wild Rose bundle to create a pretty card!

Such a wonderful stamp set with some beautiful sentiments included!
This set was designed by Mary Ellen Byler for her Million Dollar Sales Achievement!
Congrats to her!
As soon as I seen this set I wanted it for those 2 step flowers!
The Wild Rose Dies are a lovely compliment to this set and in my opinion it's a gotta have bundle!

Dino Days Sketch Challenge

Hello & Happy Monday!

Hope you enjoyed your weekend!

Our weather here was nice but a bit on the windy, cool side.
However, I am not complaining because I know it could be hot & humid!

Yesterday, Shawn had First Aid training at work from the American Red Cross to learn CPR and how to take care of different injuries if the need would ever arise.
I stamped during the afternoon since there wasn't much else to do.
I seen Debbie Henderson has a monthly challenge on her FB page that I wanted to play along with.

I just got the Dino Days and had to get it inked up!
I'm usually not one to get the kid sets but this one had some adorable sentiments included and the coordinating DSP was so cute!! I figured i'd find ways to use it!
So this card will get sent to Kelsey!

Card Details:

Stamps: Dino Days
Ink: Pretty Peacock, Mango Melody, Lovely Lipstick
Cardstock: Pretty Peacock, Lovely Lipstick, Whisper White, Dinoroar DSP
Accessories: Dino Dies, Delightful Days Tag Topper Punch, Subtle EF, Pretty Peacock Lacy Ribbon, Pretty Peacock Faceted Dots, Dinoroar Enamel Dots, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

My Pretty Peacock dinosaur was stamped off and cut out with the matching Dino Dies.
And his back fins were also a separate die which is pretty cool!
I'm anxious to play more with this set!

We need the rain so I won't complain....
Rainy days are always good for crafting, right?

Thanks for stopping by & have a nice days!

Beautiful Magnolia

Hello & Happy Sunday!

My hubby had to go to work this morning for some kind of training for all the employees.
The sun is shining brightly but I think eventually showers are to move in.
It's also a bit brisk out. I shut all my windows as do I dare to say that I was cold!?
Yep, one day i'm a heat box, then next i'm cold....

Anyways, I have another Magnolia card for you!
All I will say is that this set is amazing!

My friend Vicki wanted me to use this set last week when it arrived so this is the second one I cranked out that afternoon!
Lots of coloring but the Stampin Blends make it so easy!
My sentiment also had more words on it that I masked off because I wasn't really keen with the last sentence. Do you ever cut your stamps apart to make the words fit for the occasion?

Card Details:

Stamps: Good Morning Magnolia
Ink: Memento Black, Stampin Blends
Cardstock: Petal Pink, Mossy Meadow, Whisper White, Magnolia Lane DSP
Accessories: Magnolia Memory Dies, Stitched Rectangle Framelits, Be Mine Stitched Framelits, So Saffron Enamel Dots (retired), Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

So pleased with how both of my Magnolia cards have turned out!
I see many more pretty cards in my future with this bundle!
It's a must have!

Good Morning, Magnolia

Hello & Happy Saturday!

The weekend is here but not much going on!
My hubby's first week at his new job has gone well.
Lots of long days learning the routine & people.

I managed to get my house cleaned this week and stamp almost everyday!
As I said yesterday my order arrived Thursday and the one set I wanted the most was the first one to see ink....Good Morning, Magnolia!

Aren't those flowers beautiful?!
This Z Fold style card was a tutorial I seen done by Angie Juda recently and I loved it!
I have used it quite a bit on some of my cards. This design allows more of the DSP to show on the front!
The little magnolia on the sentiment panel is diecut straight from the Magnolia Lane DSP!
I am so happy Stampin Up is making more & more of their papers coordinate with matching dies!
This set is also loaded with wonderful sentiments that I know will get used bunches!

Card Details:

Stamps: Good Morning Magnolia
Ink: Mossy Meadow
Cardstock: Mossy Meadow, Whisper White, Petal Pink, Magnolia Lane DSP
Accessories: Magnolia Memory Dies, Circle Layering Framelits, Rhinestones, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

This is one fabulous bundle of gorgeous-ness!
And the DSP is to die for!

Hello & Happy Friday!

Yesterday my Stampin Up order arrived!
My friend Deb and I went together and put in an order from the new Stampin Up catalog.
She loves anything with lighthouses so she wanted the Sailing Home Bundle w coordinating DSP.
I only ordered the DSP because I already have a couple sail boat stamp sets.
I took my Come Sail Away DSP and created a tag to put on her bag with her goodies in!

I took these pictures with my phone only because I was in a hurry to get it finished before she stopped to pick it up!

Project Details:

Stamps: High Tide, Itty Bitty Greetings
Ink: Sahara Sand, Night of Navy
Cardstock: Night of Navy, Sahara Sand, Whisper White, Come Sail Away DSP
Accessories: Delightful Day Tag Topper, Circle Layering Framelits, Night of Navy Enamel Dot, Baker's Twine, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

With her order added to mine we earned hostess rewards and I wanted to share them with her.
I picked up some Sail Away Trinkets & Baker's Twine for both of us.
Here I put that stuff to good use on a Thank You for her.

Tropical Chic

Hello & Happy Thursday!

Hope your week is going well.
My husband started his new job this week and all seems to be going well.
It's kinda quiet without him being here but as you can see I have been able to get crafting time in again! Love him dearly but I have SO missed my crafting time!

Today I checked out the Tuesday Morning Sketches Challenge and played along!
I am trying to get back into it so hopefully this is a good start!

Here is the sketch & my sample...

I started out by pulling out this awesome stamp set called Tropical Chic.
It came out last year along with the coordinating Thinlits & DSP.
I used it a good bit last summer then it seemed to fall off my radar until today!
I told you I seem to be dreaming about the beach and anything tropical the last few weeks! LOL

My cardbase was cut at 4 1/4 x 11 and scored at 5 1/2.
I added my panel of Tropical Escape DSP and a small strip down the one side. Next I stamped my palm image and the blossom and diecut them. I used a Stitched Oval and stamped my sentiment in Shaded Spruce (LOVE THIS COLOR!) and layered it onto a Shaded Spruce Scalloped Oval.
I added my diecut palm & blossom with Dimensionals onto the Oval sentiment panel.
I added the little flagged strip to the right side and all the little Granny Apple Green Glittered Enamel Dots and finished this up!

Card Details:

Stamps: Tropical Chic
Ink: Shaded Spruce, Blushing Bride, Granny Apple Green
Cardstock: Granny Apple Green, Shaded Spruce, Whisper White, Tropical Escape DSP (retired)
Accessories: Tropical Thinlits, Stitched Shapes Framelits, Oval Layering Framelits, Glittered Enamel Dots, Banner Punch (retired), Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Always fun to play along with the Tuesday Morning Sketches Challenge!
Check them out and play along!

I am pretty happy with my tropical feeling card!
Hope you like it!

Relaxing at the Beach

Hello & Happy Wednesday!

We've had some really nice sunshine-y weather as of recent and it is making me feel like I need a trip to the beach in Freeport, Bahama's!
Shawn & I went there about 5 years ago to celebrate my birthday with his sister and some of my family (younger brother, sister in law and my oldest daughter).
It was the best vacation I think I ever had and i'd go again in a heartbeat!

So, I saw the challenge that The Paper Players issued this week and I just HAD to play along!

This was right up my alley!

As a little girl up into my early 40's we've always vacationed in Ocean City, Maryland.
I always say I was a beach baby! I have SO many memories of vacations there!
I have been dreaming about a trip to the beach the last few weeks but haven't gotten there yet.
Hopefully soon!

If you follow my blog, you will know I just posted a beach card the other day almost like this one!
I used alot of the same paper and elements but I think I love this one a bit more!
Just to sit in that comfy chair, feet in the sand, drink in my hand and gaze out over the ocean, well,
there I go dreaming again! LOL

Card Details:

Stamps: Waterfront, Beach Happy (retired)
Ink: Soft Suede, Granny Apple Green, Coastal Cabana, Crumb Cake, Daffodil Delight
Cardstock: Crumb Cake, Coastal Cabana, Whisper White, Wood Textures DSP (retired), Coastal Cabana DSP- Brights Collection (retired)
Accessories: Circle Layering Framelits, Stitched Rectangle Framelits, Seasonal Layers Thinlits, Linen Thread, Glue Dot, Glittered Enamel Dot, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I had a fun time creating this card for The Paper Player's Challenge this week and I hope you enjoyed my card as much as I did! I think I hear the beach calling my name......

2019 Graduation Card

Hello & Happy Tuesday!

Today will be a busy day for me as my house needs some attention!
It's been upside down & inside out with Shawn being home and us doing things around the house the last few weeks. My floors are filthy so i'll just leave it at that!

2 weeks ago my customer needed a graduation card.
Since we've been busy I just reached for some easy things and whipped up a card for her.
The colors needed to be blue & gold but I used Daffodil Delight for the gold.

Card Details;

Stamps: Blue Ribbon (retired)
Ink: Blueberry Bushel
Cardstock: Blueberry Bushel, Daffodil Delight, Whisper White, Daffodil Delight DSP
Accessories: Large Number Framelits (retired), Stitched Shapes Framelits, Circle Layering Framelits, Daffodil Delight 1/8 Taffeta Ribbon (retired), Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I was pretty happy with it especially since my stamping mojo has left the building!
I hope this week I can find my way back now that hubby has gone back to work!

Beach Happy

Hello & Happy Monday!

Hope everyone had a nice weekend!
It was a busy day yesterday as we finally got our storage room straightened up!
Then I moved on to my stamp table and got crafty!

I had the beach on my mind....

I used the Beach Happy stamp set that is in the Occasions Mini Catalog.
Today is the last day it is available because tomorrow the new Stampin Up Annual Catalog goes live and this set unfortunately did not carry over.
I only recently snagged this set because I do not have many beach stamps.
I also used the Colorful Seasons set with coordinating Seasonal Layers Thinlits on my card.

Card Details:

Stamps: Beach Happy, Colorful Seasons
Ink: Soft Suede, Granny Apple Green, Crumb Cake, Lemon Lime Twist
Cardstock: Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Coastal Cabana, Soft Suede, Coastal Cabana DSP, Wood Textures DSP
Accessories: Seasonal Layers Thinlits, Stitched Rectangle Framelits, Stitched Shapes Framelits, Circle Layering Framelits, Be Mine Stitched Framelits, Coastal Cabana Striped Ribbon, Glittered Enamel Dots, Sponge, Glue Dot, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I'm pretty happy with this card especially since I haven't stamped much in the last few weeks!
What do you think?

Abstract Impressions

Hello & Happy Saturday!

What a day it turned out to be yesterday!
Our weather was gorgeous!
Shawn went out and mowed then cleaned out the rain gutters.
We had lots of leaves, twigs and whirly birds on the roof that washed into the gutters after all the storms we had this week!

This afternoon we are heading to Baltimore.
He is meeting up with someone who is buying a set of tires & rims off of him.
Hope we are home before we get any storms!

I do have a set of cards to share that were part of my customers last order.
She wanted something spring/summery for a sympathy card.
This is what I created for her.

Abstract Impressions is one of my favorite sets besides Painted Harvest!
I love the spring/summery flowers that are in the set so I decided to use it.
I used Daffodil Delight Cardstock & DSP along with the Subtles EF.
My sentiment comes from the retired Rose Wonder set (another favorite) which is stamped in Granny Apple Green.
My bow if Daffodil Delight 1/8 Taffeta Ribbon that is retired too.
I have always loved this size of ribbon as it makes nice bows and does not bulk up the card.

Card Details:

Stamps: Abstract Impressions, Rose Wonder (retired)
Ink: Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green
Cardstock: Daffodil Delight, Whisper White, Daffodil Delight DSP
Accessories: Stitched Shapes Framelits, Square Layering Framelits, Subtle EF, Daffodil Delight 1/8 Taffeta Ribbon (retired), Glue Dots, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

This DSP is retiring next week and this set of cards helped me use up this particular print.
I really love this polka dot print!
I also made these cards flat for easy mailing!
