Holiday Card w/ Combined Challenges

Hello Again!

Yippeee, I made my way downstairs to stamp a quick card this afternoon! It was either that or a nap! LOL Today is rather gray and dreary here as rain is coming for tomorrow. Hey, i'll take rain anyday over snow!

So, I did get a card made for yesterday's SCS Color Challenge 561 but I also combined it with today's SCS Sketch Challenge 571. Nothing like killing 2 birds with one stone...so to speak!

Here is the colors & the sketch...

Smoky Slate, Coastal Cabana & Bermuda Bay
with a dessert option of anything goes!

My card uses the Holiday Frame from Simon Says Stamp. I treated myself to this last year after all my shows were over and I only used it once!!!! How terrible!!

It is a fun flat card for Christmas and these colors give it such a warm tropical feel...

Color Challenge 561 and Sketch Challenge 571 Card:

Stamps: none
Ink: none
Cardstock: Bermuda Bay, Coastal Cabana, Smoky Slate & Neenah White
Accessories: Simon Says Stamp Holiday Frame, Falling Snow EF, Rhinestone, 2 Way Glue Pen

That is all I have for today!
Thanks for stopping by & enjoy the rest of your day!

Happy Holidays!

Christmas Nugget Packs 2015

Hello & Happy Wednesday!

I apologize for not getting a card made yesterday for the SCS Color Challenge. I spent the early part of the afternoon finishing up my Christmas cards & getting my Secret Santa gift ready to get mailed out today. Then I lounged with Gigi & Bailee till hubby got in from work. I'd really like to try today to do the challenge! Speaking of Gigi & Bailee, here is a picture of them that I promised after getting their baths & haircuts Saturday.

Gigi

Bailee

I picked up their scarves at a vendor stand at the John Wright Craft Show a few weeks ago. The scarves have a bit a sparkle in them and look so cute. The girls were so tired & sleepy when they got home from doggie day spa but atleast now they are ready for Santa!

So, before I head off and get my day started, I wanted to share the rest of the Nugget Packs I made this year. I don't know if i'd make these again. They did sell just not as well as I would have liked.

These are 7 Hershey Nuggets wrapped in a piece of DSP measuring 1 X 3 and adhered around the nugget. There is a piece of cardstock inside the cello bag and I used the Wilton Pretzel Bags from Michael's or Walmart. I tied a piece of ribbon or cord around the pack and added my tag to coordinate with my nuggets. I really enjoyed making them and loved each one I made! They make a great stocking stuffer, too!

Hershey's Nugget Packs:

Stamps: Tags 4 You, Oh What Fun!
Ink: Island Indigo, Wisteria Wonder, Cherry Cobbler
Cardstock: Whisper White, Island Indigo, Winter's Frost DSP, Wisteria Wonder, Frigid Fun Paper Pad by The Little Darlings Paper Company, Cherry Cobbler, Merry Moments Paper Pad
Accessories: Label Bracket Punch, 2" Circle Punch, Decorative Label Punch, Silver Cord, White Twine, Cherry Cobbler Thick Twine, Rhinestones

That's all I have for today!
Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!

Happy Holidays!

Pretty Poinsettia's

Hello & Happy Tuesday!

I have decided today to play along with the SCS Color Challenge, the first in weeks but I will come back later to share that with you. Instead today I am still sharing things from the craft shows.

During the summer months I drink the Crystal Light Lemonade that comes in the tall skinny containers. I hang on to them because there is so much you can do with them. One day I had cut out alot of the Spellbinders Poinsettia flowers and fancied them all up! I ended up covering a few of those plastic containers and adding a poinsettia to them! I really liked them for a quick gift for a co worker, mail carrier or teacher. I filled mine with Hershey's Minatures but you could easily fill them with anything! You could even slip a gift card in it!

Behind my flower I added some gold cord for interest and a big gold bead in the center of my flower. Maybe the flowers were too pretty for these containers but I loved them!

Crystal Light Containers:

Stamps: A Chock Full of Christmas (retired) on tag
Ink: Real Red
Cardstock: Real Red, Old Olive, Whisper White, Merry Moments DSP
Accessories: Lg Wide Oval Punch, Spellbinders Poinsettia Dies, Gold Cord, Gold Beads, Dimensionals, Tombow Liquid

That's all for now!
I will be back hopefully with a card for today's SCS Color Challenge! Today's colors are so pretty!

ETA:
I did not make it to my stamp table today to make a card for the SCS Color Challenge. I just decided to take it easy today and lounge with my 2 favorite doggies! Maybe tomorrow!!!

Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!
Happy Holidays & Merry Christmas!

Today Lori is our hostess and she wants us to make a Christmas card with a baking theme!
How fun!!!

I pulled out this Fluffies stamp from Stampendous that's been in my stash for quite some time. I'm not a cat person but really love the image! I also have a special cat person in mind that I am sending this too! I know she is going to love it!

Merry Monday Challenge 184 Card:

Stamps: Fluffies from Stampendous
Ink: Memento Black, Copic Markers

Cocoa & Coffee K-Cup Holders

Hello & Happy Sunday!

It's been a beautiful weekend here in south central PA! The last 3 days have been in the mid to upper 60's with lots of bright sunshine! Quite a difference for what we usually expect in December! I'll take the warmer weather any day over snow & cold!!

Today I am sharing another project I found on You Tube. There are many varieties and styles of making these. Type in K-Cup Holders and go from there to choose which you'd like to make. I found a single K-Cup holder tutorial and loved it so that's what I went with.

I do not have a Keurig Coffee Machine but Kelsey does where she lives. I guess I am still old school and have not got bitten by the Keurig machine craze. However there are many that do have the machines that use the K-Cup coffee's, tea's and cocoa's so I thought this was a brilliant idea to make for my shows. I made 16 of these and only sold 1. Just goes to show that you never know what's going to sell or not. I guess what I have left will go to Kelsey now!

These were a fun little box to make and very easy too! I kept my decorating simple.

I used a variety of different stamps, sentiments and embellishments for these so if you have any questions please let me know. I don't know who the original creator was but i'm sure if you go to You Tube and type in Single K-Cup Holder that the list of tutorials will pop up.

Yesterday was Craft Show pick up at the show I have been doing for 14 years! I was thinking I did not do well there but I was in for a shock when I got there. Not too much was left!!! Surprisingly, the packs of cards were not a big seller this year. I think more & more people are getting away from sending Holiday cards which is quite sad. I remember my mom always sending cards and that tradition has been passed to me because I have been sending cards for the 25 years that i've been married with my own family. Christmas cards are a way of letting loved ones near & far know that you are wishing them a wonderful holiday and your thinking of them! There are relatives I have not seen in years but at Christmastime it lets them know I am thinking of them and wishing them a wonderful holiday season!

Did you send out holiday cards yet?
I'm still working on mine and hope to have them in the mail by tomorrow!

Well, that is all for me today!
Thanks for stopping by & have a terrific Sunday!
I'll see you all tomorrow for Merry Monday!

Happy Holidays, everyone!

Hershey Nugget Packs

Hello & Happy Saturday!

Busy day here at the Aungst Pad!
This morning the doggies get groomed. It's been 12 weeks since they had a bath because Gigi had a bad ear infection and the Vet did not want her getting water in the ear until it cleared up. We finally got the OK to get her cleaned up! I also got them new Christmas scarves at the craft show 2 weeks ago. I will share a picture tomorrow!

While the doggies are at doggy day spa, I will be addressing my Christmas cards since I finally had a chance to get postage stamps! Yippppeee!

Today I wanted to share something new for me this year. I found these on a You Tube video. There are 7 Hershey Nuggets in each of these packs and they were a decent seller at my shows but I still had a few leftover that I will use for little gifts for friends & the mail lady. I really like these!

The paper I used on these Nugget Packs are from a paper pad I picked up last year at Hobby Lobby. I love all the prints in this pad! The twine is also from Hobby Lobby but the sentiments on them are from Stampin Up!  I will share more of these later next week since I made a few different ones in different patterns and colors! Stay tuned!

Stamps: Oh What Fun, Tags 4 You
Ink: Cucumber Crush, Real Red
Cardstock: Cucumber Crush, Real Red, Whisper White, The Paper Studio- Christmas Basics Paper Pad
Accessories: Twine from Hobby Lobby, Bracket Label Punch, Lg Wide Oval Punch, Pretzel Bags from Walmart, 2 Sided Tape

Snowman Soup 2015

Hello & Happy Friday!

The weekend is upon us!
This is the last weekend for my craft show for this year! Saturday evening I have pick up of what's left.
Anyways, today I am sharing my Snowman Soup that I usually make every year! I have not had any luck with these this year at least at my John Wright show. I was SO pleased with them this year but not a one sold.

The Snowman Soup sentiment is a digi image from Whimsie Doodles that I purchased a few years ago and I use it every year!

My paper is from the Merry Moments 6X6 DSP Paper Pad and I colored my image with the colors that are in the paper. I added a piece of the Real Red Pom Pom Trim with a small clothespin!
Inside my clear cello bag I have a pack of Swiss Miss Hot Cocoa, a pack of mini marshmallows, a candy cane & some Hershey Kisses to sweeten the deal!

This would be great on a very cold snowy day!

Well, that's all for me today!
Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!
Happy Holidays!

Festive Flurries Card Set

Hello & Happy Thursday!

Today I am sharing a pack of cards I made for Christmas.
All the supplies are retired except for the sentiment.

I used retired paper from a few years ago called Merry Moments DSP. That's not to be confused with the pack that is out now in the Stampin Up catalog called Merry Moments. They are 2 different packs that happen to have the same name. The package I used on this set of cards is now retired and I believe it was from 2009-2010.
My snowflakes are from the Festive Flurries stamp set with coordinating Framelits from 2013. This is one of my favorite snowflake stamp sets!
My sentiment comes from the Holiday Mini Catalog 2015. The set is called Six Sayings. It is a hostess set with really nice sayings in it. I love it!

Merry Christmas to You & Yours Card:

Stamps: Festive Flurries, Six Sayings
Ink: Real Red, Garden Green
Cardstock: Garden Green, Real Red, Very Vanilla, Merry Moments DSP-2009-2010
Accessories: Festive Flurries Framelits, Hexagon Punch (flag ends), Vanilla Pearls, Dimensionals, 2 Sided Tape

That's all for me today!
Tonight is my stamp girls Christmas get together at Chili's!
Can't wait to see the girls and share some laughs!

Popcorn Snowman

Hello & Happy Sunday!

Hope everyone is having a great weekend!

It's been SO nice being able to relax & breathe again since all the craft show stuff is made. The last 2 evenings we hung out downstairs in the family room with the fireplace lit. Last Friday I finally got my Christmas tree down there up and decorated and cleaned really good since it's been weeks! I love the warm cozy atmosphere down there and the fireplace lit just makes it complete! Here is a picture I put on Facebook the other day....

Anyways, before I head down there to enjoy more of that warm cozy feeling, I want to share something just as warm & cozy!

My Popcorn Snowmen!

These were shared on a Craft Show page I follow on FB that is full of idea's and the ladies on there are always so willing to share how things are made. Under the white cardstock is a package of microwave popcorn. The hat is made from a pair a kids gloves. Not only are you getting the package of popcorn but also a full pair of gloves! These have really been one of my top sellers this year! The little tag I found on Pinterest. I drew the mouth on the snowman and added the nose from the wing of the Bird Builder Punch and some large googly eyes and that's how the face is created. Oh, and the rosy cheeks are done with Sponge Daubers and Pink Pirouette ink pad. I tied some twine on the gloves to make it look like a hat and added some jingle bells to my tag. I really like these! I used different colored gloves that I found at the Dollar Tree. Such a cute gift or stocking stuffer and people loved them!

Well, that's all for today!
Stay tuned for another challenge tomorrow from Merry Monday!

Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!

Happy Holidays!

I sold out of these last year at my show at John Wright. This year I made a 30 for that particular show and sold half. Just goes to show that you never know what's going to sell and what's not.
I made these with kids in mind for a stocking stuffer or just a small Christmas treat.

Happy Birthday, Ryan!

Hello & Happy Thursday!

Today is my son, Ryan's 29th Birthday! I whipped up a special card for him and wanted to share it today!

He is a NASCAR nut and I think he lives for everything NASCAR!
Thankfully I had this retired set from Stampin Up called At the Races. I have not used this set in years. It came out in 2005.

Can't believe he is 29 years old!

This young man has been thru SO much in his short life. Many medical issues, most recently testicular cancer. Thankfully he recognized the signs and seen a doctor asap! That saved his life and he had surgery to remove the cancer and then made the decision to not have the chemo. 4 years out and his tests are still negative. Thank God! He also had a spinal fusion a few years ago because he had scoliosis (curvature of the spine). He now lives with a titanium rod in his spine from T4- L5. Nonetheless, he is the best kid ever and i'm blessed & thankful everyday for him!

Ryan's 29th Birthday Card:

Stamps: At the Races, Remembering You Birthday
Ink: Basic Black Archival
Cardstock: Basic Black, Real Red, Whisper White
Accessories: Making Tracks Wheel, Circle Punches, Basic Black Twine, Stamp A Ma Jig, Dimensional, 2 Sided Tape

Going to have cake & ice cream for him this evening as we usually do to celebrate his birthday!

Happy Birthday, Ryan!

That's all for today!
Thanks for stopping by & have a terrific day!

Winter Memories Notebook

Hello & Happy Wednesday!

I've decided to stop the challenges for a bit to let my hands heal from all the crafting i've been doing for months but I will be sharing all the Christmas goodies that I made for my shows! Today I am sharing a spiral bound notebook that I re-covered and decorated. I haven't been able to find many of these type of notebooks. Michael's carries them every once in a great while and when I do find them I try to get maybe 5 or 6 at a time depending on the price. I love re-covering this type of notebook more so than the covered notepads.

For this notebook I covered it with Christmas Candlelight DSP from a few years ago. Something about this print caught my eye! I stamped my image from the Winter Memories stamp set in Real Red which is also retired. I added a piece of Real Red Satin Ribbon and my sentiment is from Papertreyink. The Gold Doily is from the Metallic Dollies from the main catalog. I added 2 gold rhinestones, one on the bow in my image and the other on the sentiment panel. My RSVP Pen also has a piece of Christmas Candlelight DSP inside of it to match the notebook. This is probably my favorite notebook this year! What do you think?

Winter Memories Covered Notebook:

Stamps: Winter Memories, Sentiment by Papertreyink
Ink: Real Red
Cardstock: Real Red, Very Vanilla, Christmas Candlelight DSP
Accessories: Gold Metallic Doily, Circle Punches, Real Red Satin Ribbon, Rhinestones, Dimensionals, Tombow Liquid, 2 Sided Tape

That's all for today!
Thanks for stopping by & have a terrific day!
