Pumpkin Boxes

Hello & Happy Friday!

It's going to be a beautiful day here in south central PA!

I raked leaves in the backyard yesterday while the weather was nice but this weekend we are going to get a taste of winter so hopefully we can get the majority of them out to the curb so the leaf truck can stuck them up! 

I got all my card orders completed and craft show stuff has been delivered. I will be moving on to baking my goodies for Thanksgiving next week! I'm looking forward to Thanksgiving this year!

Today I am sharing these cute Curvy Keepsake Boxes that I made up for Thanksgiving.

Thanksgiving Treats

Hello & Happy Thursday!

We are 1 week away from Thanksgiving here in the USA! 

I don't know about you but I am SO ready for Turkey and all the fixings and Pumpkin Pie! Mmmmmm!

So, I had a call last week from my dear sweet customer who requested some Thanksgiving treats to give her family & friends and i'm always happy to do what I can!

Today my project is a box that I made and put a cello bag inside filled with Hershey Kisses.

Take a look...

My sentiment is an old Stampin Up stamp. The dsp is from last year called Into the Woods.

I went with this dsp and Cajun Craze cardstock since my Hershey Kisses matched the colors. The box is very simple. It is from Angie Juda and here is the link to a video if your interested in making one however you will need the Envelope Punch Board.

My thoughts today......

I have to tell you that Kelsey got me a Keurig for Mother's Day.

I really did not want one because of the cost and I was quite happy with my old coffee pot.

Since getting the Keurig we have been buying all kinds of the K-Cups for it and trying things that we would never try! I got some tomato soup for it which I love! It makes all kinds of different coffee's, tea's, hot cocoa's and now soups! And to top it off....I drink probably 3 cups of coffee a day which I never did before! I love coffee time!

Minnie Mouse HB

Hello & Happy Monday!

Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Our weather here was beautiful! Yesterday I had delivery of craft show items and that for me is always a day I feel like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders! I can now eat, sleep & breath again! Haha!

I'm in slow mode this morning and actually slept in.....first time in many weeks!

Yesterday after delivery day, Shawn & I went to the Rail Trail and walked 3 miles. The sun was shining and the weather was really nice. The Trail was a busy place as many were out walking & biking. 

Today I have a quick card to share that was made for my customer.

She usually requests a card for a little girl that she knows and is very near & dear to her heart. This time she requested something with Minnie Mouse and I was happy to get right to work on a Minnie Mouse punch art card. 

I used 2 different sized circle punches and my Bow Builder Punch to make the bow on Minnie's ear.

Memory Box Ornament

Hello & Happy Saturday!

Welcome to the weekend.....finally!

This week seemed especially long with the elections and with everyday life!

I'm happy that the phone has stopped ringing every 30 minutes but now the tv commercials have shifted from political stuff to Christmas! I'm not sure which is worse! Haha!

I took the last 2 days and tore my house apart and cleaned from top to bottom. All the laundry has been done & put away! All the bedding & extra blankets have been washed. I only have some things that need ironed yet but that can wait!

Today I have a notebook to share. I thought I had everything ready for the Christmas show then i was rooting in my iris cart drawers and found a whole slew of spiral bound notebooks that I had no idea I had! That threw my schedule off a few days since I wanted to get them recovered & decorated to sell.

I have always loved tearing apart these spiral bound notebooks and recovering them with dsp and decorating them! Over the last few years the spiral bound notebooks have become harder & harder to find. I believe these ones I found came from AC Moore.

I used dsp that is from Hobby Lobby. It's so pretty in these colors!

My gold foil ornament is a die that i have been sitting on for ATLEAST 2 years. I decided to use the gold foil paper so it pops off the page and stands out against that pretty paper. I added a piece of gold twine that I made into a bow. I decided not to add a sentiment. I was quite pleased at how nicely this die cut from the gold foil paper. Like butter!

I'm up way too early this morning especially being up till midnight watching football!

Our Baltimore Ravens played a great game last night and won!

That makes for 2 wins in a row! Yipppee Skipppee!

Housework is on my agenda again today so before the day gets away from me I have a Christmas card to share using a stamp set from Avery Elle.

This stamp set has some nice sentiments in it but I stuck to using the Merry Christmas for this card,

HB Gatefold Card

Hello & Happy Thursday!

The sun is shining and it's going to be a great day!

I got all my crafts ready to go and that makes me SO stinkin happy!

I'm not sure what is on my agenda today...maybe doing some MUCH needed house cleaning or working on lots of laundry but nonetheless I will be busy! I was even thinking of addressing my Christmas cards and getting them ready for after Thanksgiving! Guess we will see what wins out!

Today I have a quick card to share that was a special card for my customer's daughter.

When she requests special cards I always try to make something different whether it be a different fold type or a more involved card. I made this one a Gatefold card.

Again I dug deep into my stash for the cardstock & paper on this one but most of all I loved being able to use this Sahara Sand lace ribbon that was in my stash. It's beautiful and ties a nice bow.

Swirly Birds on this Gray Day

Hello & Happy Wednesday!

How bout that...I slept straight thru Election Day here in the US! Haha!

No, actually I got so busy with my day that I never got around to updating my blog!

Last evening I was glued to the tv watching the election stuff and sat up till after 1 am waiting to see who our next president was and at that time some states were still too close to call.

Today we have a new President!

 Not sure if it's a good thing or a bad thing but I really hope for some change within our country and people start working together to solve problems.

We can only hope this president will work for the people but only time will tell.

Enough on that subject.

Today I have a sweet card to share quick then I have a major mess in my stamp room to clean up!

Cardstock, glitter and scraps all over the floor and it just needs a good cleaning which I will start later after I get my covered notebooks bagged & priced for the craft show. It is all ready for delivery on Sunday and i'm thrilled about that!!

My card today is one my customer asked for and without a sentiment.

I really liked this card using the Swirly Birds stamp set but I really wish I could have put a sentiment on it! I guess there was too much blank space for me! LOL My customer loved it and the colors on it so I guess that is what counts, right?!

Gingerbread Notebook

Hello & Happy Monday!

Hope you all had a nice weekend?

Yesterday was a nice break from all the crafty things going on right now.

We went out for a nice walk at the Rail Trail yesterday and I enjoyed it but almost stepped on a wee little snake! Yikes, if anyone knows me, they know I am deathly afraid of snakes! I about had a heart attack when Shawn pushed me out of the way. 

The weather was just perfect for a 3 mile walk and there was a nice breeze as the leaves were falling from the trees.

The trees are at peak color now and I was surprised that so many trees that were already bare. The seasons are definitely changing.

So today I am sharing another covered composition book with you.

This is a medium size one that I picked up at Michael's several months ago from the dollar spot which is actually not the dollar spot any more....$1.50 now.

I recovered the whole thing...

I am loving this Christmas Cookie Cutter Bundle this year because of the gingerbreadman in it! Although the reindeer is adorable too! This set will stay in my collection for a long time!

Much Needed Break Today

Hello & Happy Sunday, friends!

Today I just wanted to pop in let you know I am taking a break from blogging today.

Been over doing it in the craft room and i'm burnt out!

Since the weather is feeling more like Fall, I have decided to throw my hair in a ponytail and put on my sneakers and get a long walk in today with Shawn. We've been trying hard to continue walking/hiking on the weekends since it's impossible during the week now with darkness coming earlier. He's been pretty helpful & patient with me working long days in the craft room so I feel the need to just take the day off and spend it with him.

I will be back tomorrow with a new project to share so stay tuned!

Thanksgiving Cards

Good Morning & Happy Saturday!

It was a frosty morning here in south central PA. 

I actually turned some heat on last evening to take the chill off. 

I finished up a huge card order for my customer Audrey this week. She was SO happy with the rooster card that I actually think she was doing the happy dance! She's a hoot!

She requested 2 packs of Thanksgiving cards and i'm always happy to create what she wants!

She saw this dsp used on my November 2016 Calendar that I made and requested that I use this on her Thanksgiving cards and if you know me you know that I am happy to use up any remaining stash of dsp that I have! This is a pretty pattern and I did not want to cover it up with anything else but the sentiment.

Wonderous Wreath HB

I have seen some pretty cool cards made with this set from Chrismas, Spring, Fall and even one for Halloween! My card today is all about the pretty Fall colored leaves.

I have been trying to make my cards much simpler these days. I don't like complication or having alot of layers anymore. This card is about as simple as one can get but I love how it turned out!

A quick card for today and then i'm off to finish up my customer's card order!

This is one of the card's she requested.

This card uses an old stamp set called Roosting from 2002-2003 but sadly I do not have it in my collection. I at one time borrowed it from a friend and stamp a million images off with it. My patterned paper is from Crate Paper from years ago. Lots of oldie but goodie things I used today and that makes me happy!

I have a pork roast in the crock pot to make pulled pork sandwiches for supper and the coffee pot is brewing up a ton of coffee for me! Now I just need to get motivated! Haha!

Goodbye October....

The time is flying by so quickly anymore!

I am loving the colors of our Fall foliage but I am not looking forward to winter weather coming eventually. 

Thanksgiving will be here in a few short weeks so I have a quick card to share!
