Retiring Day #14

 Hello & Happy Tuesday!

Today is day #14 of sharing another card made with a retiring Stampin Up! set.
I am using the Turtle & Friends bundle on page 56 of the annual catalog.
It was the first set I got when the new catty came out last year!

I am floored this one is retiring as well since it was backordered for a long time.
It's such a fun set and has a coordinating Turtle Builder Punch.

Card Details:

Stamps: Turtle & Friends
Ink: Just Jade, Crushed Curry, Calypso Coral
Cardstock: Just Jade, Crushed Curry, Calypso Coral, Basic White, In Symmetry DSP
Accessories: Turtle Builder Punch, Greenery EF, Circle Layering Framelits, Just Jade/Gold Ribbon, Gold Gilded Gems, Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Of all the cards I made so far for my retiring stamp set series, Kelsey says she really loves this one! I may have to make another one for her birthday next month!

Retiring Day #13

 Hello & Happy Monday, Everyone!

I hope you had a wonderful weekend!
They seem to go by so fast anymore.
I got my Easter cards made, addressed and in the mail!

Today I have card #13 to share made with a retiring Stampin Up set.
This one uses the Sailing Home set on page 51 of the Stampin Up! Annual Catalog.
It has coordinating Smooth Sailing Dies.
I loved this bundle and have used it so much since it came out.
I don't own it but have always borrowed it from my friend, Deb.

Last time I borrowed her set I stamped a bunch of images and diecut them,
I have so many that I use when I need to make a masculine card.
The paper I used here is long retired, Come Sail Away DSP.

Card Details:

Stamps: Sailing Home
Ink: Night of Navy
Cardstock: Night of Navy, Balmy Blue, Whisper White, Come Sail Away DSP (retired), In Good Taste DSP
Accessories: Smooth Sailing Dies, Circle Layering Framelits, Metallic Silver Pearls, Mini Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

This bundle will go down as one of my absolute favorites for making masculine cards!
Do you have a favorite set?

Retiring Day #12

 Hello & Happy Sunday, Everyone!

Hope your weekend is going well!
Bailee did beautifully yesterday at her grooming appointment and looks so pretty!
It was a tough thing for me seeing 2 other dogs going into grooming that looked just like Gigi. Then when the mail came we had a card from the Vet's office sending their sympathies. Yep, the tears started both times. I know in time it will get easier but her being gone is still pretty hard.
Today I plan to go to my stamp table and get my Easter cards addressed. Time is running out to get them in the mail since Easter is this coming week! Yikes!

It is day #12 of sharing a card made with a Stampin Up! retiring set.
The set is Handsomely Suited on page 50 of the annual catalog.

I used this set many times especially the sentiments in it but it's a wonderful masculine set plus it has coordinating Suit & Tie Dies!

Card Details:

Stamps: Handsomely Suited
Ink: Night of Navy
Cardstock: Basic Gray, Basic White, Handsomely Suited DSP (retired)
Accessories: Suit & Tie Dies, Rhinestone, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Pretty cool, huh?
I think my hubby would like this one for Father's Day!

Retiring Day # 11

 Hello & Happy Saturday, Friends!

We had a nice sunny day yesterday but by early evening the rain came back.
Feels like we are in the monsoon season!
It's raining out yet this morning and it sounds like a yukky weekend,
Miss Bailee is off to doggy day spa this morning. This is the first time she's gone there without Gigi so I hope it goes well. She seems to be doing good but at times seems alittle down. I'm sure they grieve just like us humans.
I have a busy day ahead with doing somethings around the house and just maybe I will sneak a nap in there!

Today is day #11 of sharing a Stampin Up! stamp set that is retiring.
For this card I used the Hats Off bundle from page 47 of the Stampin Up! Annual Catalog.

When you look at this fun bundle you would think to make a masculine card but i've seen so many cards done for the ladies! That was the direction I went with this card.

Card Details:
Stamps: Hats Off
Ink: Flirty Flamingo, Crushed Curry
Cardstock: Crushed Curry, Basic White, Flirty Flamingo, Pattern Party DSP
Acccessories: Hats Off Builder Dies, Stitched Rectangle Framelits, Ornate Floral 3D EF, Flirty Flamingo/Gold Ribbon, Gold Gilded Gems, Glue Dot, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I really liked the outcome of this one! So fun & fresh!
Hope you like it too!

Retiring Day #10

 Hello & Happy Friday!

It's surely been an emotional week but since I still have retiring projects to share, I decided to continue on with that. Thankfully all the projects are already made!

Today is day #10 of sharing a retiring project from Stampin Up!
The stamp set is A Good Man from page 46 of the 2021-2022 Stampin Up! Annual Catalog.
It's a great masculine set that has wonderful images in as well as sentiments!

Also retiring is the Bark 3D EF that I used on the front of my card.
The texture reminds me of water and I thought it looked good with my beachy image.

This image reminds me of Shawn because he sits with his hat pulled down over his eyes while taking a nap!

Card Details:

Stamps: A Good Man
Ink: Memento Black, Misty Moonlight, Stampin Blends- Crumb Cake, Cinnamon Cider, Pool Party & Misty Moonlight
Cardstock: Misty Moonlight, Pool Party, Basic White
Accessories: Bark 3D EF, Circle Layering Framelits, Stitched Rectangles Framelits, Linen Thread, Waves Rhinestones, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Before I close this out I want to say Thank You for all the kinds words about Gigi.
She was truly a wonderful doggy!

My thoughts today...

We've had rain since Tuesday and this morning we woke up to sunshine!
How wonderful and will help put a spring in my step!
After the last few days of feeling blue this sunshine is much welcomed even if it is short lived.
Thanks for stopping by & have a great day!

Saying Goodbye...

 Happy Thursday, Friends!

Tuesday we had to make the decision to let our Princess Gigi go.
A difficult & dreaded decision but it was her time.
Her health in the last 2 years has declined and she really went downhill in the last several months. She had severe arthritis, a pinched nerve in her neck/spine, stomach issues and we think she was starting to get dementia. We kept her comfortable for the last few months but it became evident Tuesday that it was time to say goodbye. We adopted her in March of 2013, 10 months after Fluffy passed away. We had Fluffy for 14 years. Gigi was only with us for 9 yrs, 1 month and 3 days but when we adopted her she was already 5-6 years old. In that time she healed our heartache from losing Fluffy and loved us unconditionally! She was a wonderful dog but in recent weeks she was not the same doggy she was. I have prayed for strength to get thru this because I don't handle things like this very well. Shawn seems to be taking this loss harder than I expected. She became his "old girl" in the last several months and I think he grew closer with her.

Bailee seems to be doing good with the loss.
I think she realizes now she is the queen bee!
Yesterday was a hard day to get thru after a night with lots of crying and no sleep.
We packed Bailee up and took her out to do some shopping at some of the local dog friendly stores. She was antsy at first but soon realized she got lots of attention from other shoppers. I hope that helped her to cope with the loss in some way.
By the time we got home she was exhausted and took a long nap.
We won't be getting anymore pets after this. Bailee will be our last one. We are growing older and just decided this would be it even though we love dogs. It's just too heartbreaking!

The next couple of weeks are going to be a bit hard as we navigate our way thru this loss but know I am at peace with letting Miss Gigi go.
She was in pain and we just knew it was time.
Run free my sweet little Gigi....until we meet again.
💕

Retiring Stamp Day # 9

 Hello & Happy Tuesday, Everyone!

We are in for a gloomy, rainy week so I guess I will be at my stamp table the next few days!
Not much else to do on rainy days!
I do need to get working on some Easter things because it will be here before we know it.

Today is day # 9 of sharing a retired Stampin Up! stamp set.
Sweet Strawberry and it's coordinating Strawberry Builder Punch are on the chopping block. Just cannot believe they are retiring this wonderful set! It's been very well loved!
It is on page 43 of the current Stampin Up! Annual Catalog and only available while supplies last.

Often times when Stampin Up! introduces us to a new bundle they usually have paper that goes with it. You will most likely see me using the matching DSP because I always associate it with the bundle whether or not it's still available or long retired.
I guess that is how my brain registers it, so to speak! LOL
So, I pulled out the Berry Blessings DSP that was a SaleABRation offering last year. It is gorgeous! I'm still hoarding an unopened pack of it! LOL

Card Details:

Stamps: Sweet Strawberry
Ink: Poppy Parade, Garden Green Daffodil Delight
Cardstock: Poppy Parade, Garden Green, Daffodil Delight, Basic White, Berry Blessings DSP (SAB 21)
Accessories: Strawberry Builder Punch, Circle Layering Framelits, Check & Dots EF, Stitched Rectangle Framelits, Rhinestones, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

This card is probably one of my favorites!
I love strawberries and eat them almost everyday!
I am anxious for strawberries to come into season locally but I know it'll be awhile yet!
Mmmm Mmmm Good!

Retiring Stamp Day #8

 Hello & Happy Monday!

It is day #8 of sharing a retiring stamp set that Stampin Up! is retiring come May 1st.
This one is a favorite of mine.....Sharing Sunshine!
This set is on page 39 in the Stampin Up! Annual Catalog.

The inside saying is from the Many Messages set from page 42 of the current Stampin Up! catalog. It is also retiring along with the Tasteful Labels Dies, Macrame 3D EF & the Gold Metallic Pearls.

Card Details:

Stamps: Sharing Sunshine, Many Messages
Ink: Mango Melody, Blushing Bride, Pool Party, Flirty Flamingo, Memento Black
Cardstock: So Saffron, Mango Melody, Pool Party, Basic White, Sunshine & Rainbows DSP (SAB 22)
Accessories: Tasteful Labels Dies, Macrame 3D EF, Gold Metallic Pearls, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

That sunshine just makes me smile!
He is stamped and fussy cut since there is no die or punch for it.

It's a rainy day today which is good for stamping!

It's day #7 for sharing a card made with a retiring Stampin Up! stamp set.
This time I am using the Daisy Lane set from page 37 of the current Stampin Up! catalog.
A very well loved stamp set that I have used numerous times.
It coordinates with the Daisy Punch which is also going away.

It was hard to photograph this fun Z Fold card but I am pleased with how it turned out.

Card Details:

Stamps: Daisy Lane

Cardstock: Pear Pizzazz, Calypso Coral, Basic White, You're A Peach DSP

Retiring Stamp Day #6

 Hello & Happy Saturday!

Hope your weekend is off to a good start!

I have card #6 to share using another Stampin Up retired stamp set!
This is the What's Cookin' stamp set with coordinating Cookin' Dies.
It is on page 34 of the current Stampin Up! catalog.
I haven't used this set all that much since I got it a few months ago!
I bought it to do some Christmas treats but then life happened and I never got to make them.
Maybe this year I will!!!

Card Details:

Stamps: What's Cookin'
Ink: Gray Granite, Real Red
Cardstock: Gray Granite, Real Red, Basic Black, Basic White, Silver Foil Paper, In Good Taste DSP
Accessories: Cookin' Dies, Hippo & Friends Dies, Circle Layering Framelits, Give It A Whirl Dies, Black & White Gingham Ribbon, Rhinestones, Dimensionals, Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Don't you just love that adorable embossed cutting board?
I think it's my favorite thing about this card!
The In Good Taste DSP is retiring after a 2 year run with Stampin Up!
I still have a good bit of this paper left since it is a big paper pad but I will continue using it for masculine cards when needed.

I am going to send this card to Kelsey with a recipe tucked inside.
I am not sure if she has a recipe box or not but i'm sure she will enjoy it!

Retiring Stamp Day #5

 Hello & Happy Fri-YAY, Friends!

Happy April 1st, too!
The weekend is finally upon us!
Do you have any fun plans?
Not much happening here at the Aungst Pad and with gas prices thru the roof we do not go out running around like we use too! We filled the truck up last week...$98!!! Ouch!

Today is day #5 of sharing a project made with a Stampin Up! stamp set that is retiring.
I am using the Measure of Love set from page 32 of the current Stampin Up! catalog.
I ordered this set a few months ago to do a Stamp A Stack project and never followed thru with it. This is the first time I used it.

This is a fun set to color and has some nice sayings in it!
I must have stamped this image 4 times until I got it where I liked it.
I stamped it and started coloring it with my Stampin Blends and the ink bled so I pitched that one. Another time I left it dry but I did not like the color of my cupcakes so I pitched that one. Then again I stamped it, left it dry and had it all colored to where I liked it. Decided to add some sparkle on my cupcakes with my Wink of Stella marker. Wouldn't you know it...a big blob of Wink of Stella came out and ruined my image! Ughh! 3rd time was not a charm for this cutie! The saying I used on this one is from the Itty Bitty Birthday set that retired last year. I need some belated birthday cards for on my card rack so that is why I used that set. And after the Wink of Stella incident I did not try to use it again.

I left the inside blank until I find a sentiment to put in there.

Card Details:

Stamps: Measure of Love
Ink: Memento Black, Misty Moonlight, Stampin Blends-Pool Party & Pale Papaya
Cardstock: Misty Moonlight, Pool Party, Basic White, Pattern Party DSP
Accessories: Stitched Rectangle Framelits, Scallop Contour Dies, Circle Layering Framelits, Misty Moonlight Enamel Dots (retired), Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I am pleased with how it turned out after all that chaos!
Also retiring on my card is the Pattern Party DSP.
I have alot of this left that I will continue to use because I just love the prints & patterns in it. If you have a chance to get this paper...do it! It's so pretty!
